I'm looking for some help from the massive knowlage organ that is you lot.
A friend is researching the history of this rather illustrious squadron as his father served with them as on observer (Sub Lt Oakley) later in the war. He has found a real lack of info between July '44 and 1946 when they became a Canadian squadron.
Can anyone help fill in the gaps.

Cheers

Thanks TT
He's found out a fair bit about his fathers time on the Vindex. The 'missing' bit seems to be the few months before the Canadian times. Russian convoy escorts seem rather forgotten about by history (compared to N Atlantic or Med), shame really.

My mate got a copy of that book and it has helped to fill in most of the details. I've borrowed it, interesting stuff. Cheers
