I would assume so, but I could probably use a fresh install of IL2 anyway.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

well, i had my 4.05m injstallation on harddrive. i left it were it was http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
than i installed a fresh 4.07 BESIDE the existing 4.05 one.

i copied my conf.ini, the user info and some more things (speaches, missions, skins) from the 4.05 folder in the 4.07 folder.

and now i have two installations on the same harddrive.
important for me to fly online, because 4.07 ist not very onlienfrindly in the moment - no det server software, no worldwide release.

and in the HL i can quick tell the HL wich exe it has to use - with ctrl+shift+conect http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

it should rewrite over it no prob, same as if you put the wrong patch on first, you simply reapply them in the correct order over the top.......... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif so run the disc and it will reinstall 4.05 and carry on to 4.07

"so run the disc and it will reinstall 4.05 and carry on to 4.07"

Anyone tried this method yet?

At the moment it seems like everything is intact except for the cof.ini file. I installed over 4.04m, and everthing else is in place.

Pleas back your files up though!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Just wondering how many hidden complications there are to buying and installing the disc.
We'll never know... as they are hidden I guess... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I installed it into a new folder.
Then copied the following files:
conf.ini, rcu
and the following folders:
Campaign folder, Users folder, Dgen folder (include subfolders)
over from 4.05m to the new folder.

No problems... I can continue on goin' campaigns.
Kept controller settings and all... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

IL2-Sticks (http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=332) might come in handy, IL2 Joy Control (By Oleg_BS) (http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=1021) can even be more usefull!)

Same here, excluding .rcu, no problems at all!

"No problems" turns out this is not true in my case... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

One Dgen campaign cannot be continued... after the Apply at a mission completed, the next mission will not be loaded... empty map, empty brief... 'No MAP in mission' error when hitting 'Fly'... the fix by repeating the last mission in the campaign.ini file does not help, same thing happens...

EDIT: Looks like this is only happening to one DGEN campaign, there's another that does work okay... Weird... oh well, I could start a new.... or just delete it ... or just ignore it...
