Big mistake taking the security system from AC2 off just to please few whiners.
Now every shmuck out there get to play off-line, while we buy the game and try to have some legit fun.
Not really fair and not a good move, considering that all Assassin's Creed series has been exceptional and worth it every penny...
DO NOT do that again guys on the next Assassins creed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

wait, first people complain about the fact that you have to have an internet connection to play it, and now they start complaining that you dont have to anymore? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

That's not what he's complaining about. Re-read the original post.

than can you reword it, because i'm just as confused, he is complaining that they took the security system from AC2 off(which i believe was the DRM requiring constant internet connection), which means he is complaining that they removed the constant internet connection allowing it to be played offline

BTW, why do you think PC users get the game so late? They know that if they released all the platforms at once, most would just get their greedy little hands on the pirated torrents instead and they wouldn't make jack on it.

It's really not difficult to understand that he is just a bit ticked off that he went and spent his hard-earned(?) money on the game like everyone should, while others just cheated their way thru by downloading illegal copies.
I feel his pain.
Ubisoft just needs to upgrade their security methods in a way that doesn't hinder "loyal customers". Maybe they could use the Apple against them!?

i got that, but maybe you need to re-read marbatico's post then, as what he is saying is that when AC2 came out people complained about the DRM and how Ubisoft shouldn't use it, and now ACB comes out without it, people are complaining that Ubisoft removed it, Ubisoft is in a no-win situation, if they put the DRM on, people complain, if they leave it out, people complain

What you goons need to realize is, you need an Internet Connection to REGISTER AND INSTALL THE GAME.

You also need the CD-KEY (which is used ONCE and never again) and a UbiSoft Account.

When the CD-KEY is gone, there ain't no getting it back to go Pirate on everything.

I know it sucks but AC2 was cracked within the first week of its release. Doesn't matter what DRM any game companies throw out there it will always be cracked unfortunately.
