There's another quite well know p-47 movie about a USAAF squad based in Italy, called 'Thunderbolt'.

You used to be able to see it here: http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/, but it now looks as if you will need to buy their DVD

Some excellent training movies for a lot of the aircraft in the game, though.

Worth a look if you've not seen it before.

Cheers,

Pads

Interesting. So much for all the claims that the 4.01 FM is more realistic. Watch it again and see just how stable a P-47 is as a gun platform, then go fly one in the game. The nose is all over the place.

Granted, this 4.01 is not the full FM for BoB, but this is the point I've been trying to get across in Oleg's Readyroom. The plane wallow about way to much to be reliable gun platforms.

We rotate films through the "Matinee" about every six months.(Each documentary film plays one month at a time.) Thunderbolt should be playing again in another 3-4 months.

Right now, we're playing another excellent P-47 feature at the Matinee, "Ramrod to Emden," featuring the P-47 aces of Hub Zemke's 56th fighter group taking on the LW over Germany.

You can see it here until the end of the month:
