Is it 1946, a complete collection, what? And how do I play online? HyperLobby does not support it.

Not sure about "The Signature Collection", however, I do know that the best with everything is IL2:1946 as far as IL2 goes. 1 DVD, one installation and one patch and your good to go.

To use HL, you'll use "Forgotten Battles" to play.

Hope this helps, good luck and

Looks and sounds to me as it´s a new box, wich clarify it more that it is the whole IL2 series on one DVD.

It says it comes with all the prievous games' airplanes, maps, ect, but I cant access them, or the other games. Just 1942. But when I minimize the game, it doest say 1942 tho. But I cant play online, and it brags about having as much as 128 players in one sever *frustrated*

The IL 2 1946 Signature Collection is the latest version which 4.07. In order to play on most online servers you will need to apply the 4.08 patch.

On Hyperlobby use the Forgotten Battles section to play.

Do you have the 4.08 patch installed? You'll need that to play 1946 online, you can get it here (http://www.gamershell.com/download_17669.shtml)

BTW 1946 does have all the other games and addons included - Forgotten Battles, Aces expansion Pack, Machuria, Pacific Fighters, Pe2 etc. They aren't seperate games but more like addons that merge into one big game, the aircraft are flyable either through the campaigns and missions or in the Quick Mission builder.

Ah ok. So if its just 1946, then why is it called "The Signature Collection"? Is it the bonus dvd?

And yea, I have the 4.08 patch installed.

Oh and Hyperlobby says "Game not found"

Oh and Hyperlobby says "Game not found"

I think it's just because Oleg and Ilya, the main fellahs behind the game have signed the cover.
Hmmm, the hyperlobby problem could be if you are trying to launch to an IL2 game, make sure you choose Forgotten Battles instead. I haven't used Hyperlobby for years though, so someone else might have more up to date info on that problem.

Harumph...they didn't sign my copy. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

I think that's just the name. No signatures on my (U.S.) copy. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

As Inadaze said, make sure you choose forgotten battles in hyperlobby, and that the path is set correctly to your il246 folder.

Happy flying

Oh and Hyperlobby says "Game not found"

Launch HL and select "Connect / Select Game"

Click "Disconnect" and click "OK"

Hold "Shift" and "Ctrl" and right click "Connect"

Now you can point HL to your game directory.

Click "Save" and then "Connect" and you should be good to go.

IL2:1946 is played under "Forgotten Battles" in HL.

Hope this helps, good luck and

Could it be the name you are using in Hyperlobby is already in use by another player?

Hm. The IL2 Forgotten Battles room.
Can't remember registering at hyperfighter.sk, but that might just be my memory failing...

Thinking it over, I do not think any registering is needed at the hyperfighter site...

Just pick a nick, type it in Hyperlobby connect box, at CallSign, pick a password, type it, press Connect.

If the callsign is unique/unused, Hyperlobby will ask you to verify the password in chat, next you need to enter an email address, and then... you're in!

Im not new to flying sims, I have European Air War, I.A.F., Fight for the Pacific, ect. In all I used my trusty Joypad, and I was the best in the skys. But in this game, I can hardly take off, the plane wobbles when I do, takes off, lands on its wings, or takes a nose dive...

Joypad http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

If your using a joypad then your going to struggle in this game. it don't cut the mustard.

Rgr, I think it should've been titled:
"A pIL2ot's Guide To Getting Off The Ground.." http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
(Lots of specific IL2 info in there... also howto connect to the Hyperlobby)

This game is more realistic than any of those.

The plane does wobble and pull to one side as you take off, as this is the effect of engine torque.

Are you talking about the realistic weather and flying effects? Or is there something worng with your controller?

Try unplugging your controller and flying with the keyboard for a quick sortie (use arrow keys). Does the plane behave the same way? Or is it smoother, with less 'wobble?

Just trying to determine if there is actually a problem, or if you are just not used to the realistic effects in IL2's flight model.

You badly need a joystick to play this game well. I started playing using the keyboard online, but I soon movced on to a joystick. I was wearing out keyboards with the endless 'tapping' needed to turn sharply without stalling.
