I have a Sony Vaio 2.8 ghz, 1.5 gb of ram, with a GeForce FX 5700LE agp 8x 256mb vid card using 66.93 drivers.
My problem is I can't come close to using Perfect mode. What gives? Are these not good system specs? Does this card suck?
Any help?
Thanks

looks like our comps are about the same except I got geforce 6800 128 muhahahahah. I would have gotten the 256 version but I don't have a HDTV I can play on http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

but yeah FX kinda stinks.

I would look at getting a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Or a FX6600 Video Card Then your graphics will look alot better. The 5700LE is a good card but not that good. Here is a good link to a site that gives you the benchmarks for all video cards. http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20041004/vga_charts-04.html

I have a very similar system to yours with a 5700 card but with a little more power: 2Mb Ram, 3Gig CPU. I cannot quite run Perfect. I have to back off a noch in distance, clouds, and terrain. Still looks good though. IL2...PF is very demanding.
