Thanks from my friend at France-Simulation.Com, he is hosting my latest short movie that was released some weeks back. Some of you weren't able to see it during that time and here I am presenting it to you all again for your enjoyment while I work on another breakthrough IL2 movie project. Enjoy:

WOW! Thank you so much. See the post about "I would like to share IL2 movies but..." and tell us here how you converted the track clips to wmv. Thanks again, wonderful job!

Aardvark892,

To answer your question, I use CAMTASIA, a programs that capture video or pictures of your desktop. The important thing to know is how to do it, here is a simple way of explaining it:

- Run IL2 in a WINDOW 800x600 resolution at 1/2 speed.

- Pause the game and run Camtasia, turn off sound recording, use default video compresor and select a fixed region to record (the IL2 window but without the borders).

- Run the game and start recording, make sure you don't record more the 40 ~ 50 sec of video since the AVI files will be very large (aprox. 450 MB for about less than a minute of footage!).

- Then with Camtasia Producer you re-process each piece of footage that you made but you will re-process it at 150% faster speed.

- After you re-process all of your individual footages then you can use Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Premiere to put the pieces together to make the movie.

...and that is just the visual part, not even counting in the audio and music which I used separate software to put togeather.

Hope this helps.

Ok thanks for the reply. I also found another website with more totally cool movies and gun camera footage real and from the game. I watched like twenty movies from you IL-2 guys today. Kind of reminds me of those guys that make those racing movies for Nascar and GPL, different kinds of movies though.

Anyway thanks for the welcome from you and UCLANUPE. He is really a cool dude cause he gave me some "free" web space to place some pictures, nice guy. I was getting a little worried cause alot of threads here have alot of hostility. Later dudes!

Hauptman99 no problem, glad to welcome a newbie the proper way. You are very mature for just 14 years on this earth and you appear to by a stand up guy. Just don't let the tone of the posts get you down, its almost like siblings fighting, nobody gets hurt. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

BTW, I see that you made good use of the space I provided for you! LOL. That chimp with the #hat is comical! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Hi UCLANUPE

I read that you hosted that boy's movie, can you do it with my own (just a couple of days, i really need to know your opinion on my work, though i'm still working with fraps at 640x480 !)

Good flight to you !

Nonsense, I verified the joints twice!: This was the answer given by chief Mechanic Klaus Stoeffel to Oberst Lotar Von Müllenbrock when he complained about some strange vibrations in the wings of his Me-262 during take off. This picture show that Oberst Von Müllenbrock's fears were in fact quite real.

No actually Hauptman99's dad asked me for a "small" amount of space for a "small" number of photos, that's no problem. I also provided two pages on my site for their comprhensive list of IL-2/FB movies after I saw how complete it was.

Now, just exactly how large is the movie? I really don't think that it will be a problem unless the size is larger than our movies which are between 70-90 megs. Let me know.

Hi UCLANUPE

I understand your point, that kid kept saying that you had provided some webspace for him (i tought it was more SPACE than the necessary for posting that list), nevertheless its great to see kids writing in this forum.

Well the movie itself has 4 episodes but i would like to upload only the first one (3,5 minutes and 25 Mb in size avi DivX compressed) because it was my first attempt using FRAPS and i would like to receive your opinion and share the fun i had making it with our fellow pilots around the world. Currently i'm migrating to Camtasia (thanks for all the advices given in many threads by NTESLA and you of course).

Unfortunately i don't have any webspace for uploading it in order to allow others to download it. I visited france simulation website, but they need to upload my movie from a website before placing it on their servers (i don't understand... if i had my own website in the first place, why should i give them my small contribution ?).

If you can host my file i would need some help because i don't know how to upload it to you, unless we use P2P as i suggested to the comunity a long ago.

Good flight to you !

I share stuff p2p using MSN messenger 6.0. If you get that we can set up a time and date to transfer the file. I cannot give out ftp info for security reasons per my partners. MSN is the way to go so let me know when you are ready.
