I think killing them will get you in trouble.
Punching them wont but some other person might want to defend them.
Id either kill, shuv aside or broken jaw. makes things more spicy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Give them money. Why? It's not like they'll spend it on alcohol, right? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Seriously though, I think if you give them money, they might decide to throw rocks at guards that are pursuing you instead of throwing those same rocks at you while you're running away from said guards.

and to eliteassassin, you lose 1/3 of your health every time you kill a civilian even if its on foot

iPlunder
10-16-2007, 07:31 PM
Do you even have Health?
The bar is a stamina bar, right? So is health regenerated or what?
And to stay on track, do civilians have health, like i punch one in the mouth say, does he have health, or die after a few blows randomly, INITIATING RAGDOLL!

Well it seems the bar is more like a how connected you are to the Assassin' as you the genetic memory carrier

As you watch you think would Altair really do that.. and that's what the bar is and in combat that translates into stamina... if you getting hit your believability goes down hence Altair's Stamina

When you're killing civiilians Altair wouldn't do that either and hence again your believability goes down etc etc

I haven't read the article about the 1/3rd though so.. I still don' believe it but hey http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I voted for "Shove and run" but then I jsut realised money is the way to go. They'll help you as that dude before me said. S oyea...if I can't give them money, I'll Shove And Run. I may not car about REAL humans but for some reason, theres jsut something about a virtual bum which you could push and not get in trouble that gets to you..you know what I mean? STEAL FROM THE RICH GIVE TO THE POOR!....Maybe kill the rich. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

even if you do lose health when you kill civilians, its pretty hard to kill one on accident i'd think

Well people are made up on the spot and dont have certain personalities, like oblivion. So you probably are never gonna see the same beggar again. But maybe if you help a lot of beggars, they'll give u a side quest like stealing money from some rich bloke and giving it to them. Then they might help you, but it will be a group of random beggars, not the exact same beggar that you gave money to.

You're not going to be able to fight with beggars if you hit them they will not fight back they are not thugs their thought process is to run not every person on the street that you punch is going to fight back

I thought that in the full game one hit from a sword would kill you. At least that was what Jade was saying http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

On topic: I'll just do whatever I feel like at the moment, no real need to kill em though

You guys don't get the point of being an assassin.

You don't just randomly kill beggars!

That would hurt your social relation to the people, and most likely make it harder to track/kill your target.

I would ignore them, and kill my target! LOL!

sadly no http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif beggars can only slow down guards.

@ switchblade believability is how close you are acting to altair. if you do somethin he wouldnt do it would go down

Ok....you guys who want to murder all these beggars need to start thinking like a medieval assassin.

Beggars are a hidden, ignored presence in the city. They usually hear and see everything or know of someone who does.
As an assassin their assistance and knowledge would be of great importance to you.
They would also know of escape routes, hidden areas where squatters reside, hidden or unwatched exits from the city, ship schedules, etc....

Geeze people, be nice to the poor beggars!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Hey there im new! I have completed assassins creed [but my internet conection went off before i could join] I hate beggars and drunks they always get in you're way when you're trying to assassanate someone. I was trying to assassinate a guard whaen a begger got in my way she was like "please sir do you have any... ugh *death" i was like "oops sorry http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blush.gif" and ran off.

In real maybe, but these are just dumb.
When he game is finished, you can go back as skilled as you like, and kill every beggar, drunk and nutcase you want, without loosing sync http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Sometimes i am killing every single one of them i encounter, just for fun, and to get rid of the frustration..
Most time this leads to a good fight with the guards http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Edit: These are an infestation: impossible to get rid of them, they allways reincarnate, or somebody opened some fresh cans of them, just after i killed them all... so no real harm done afterall.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
