Suddenly my faithful stick is manifesting some weirdness which I am unable to cure. At first it was instability in the fore and aft axis. Aircraft developed a tendency to climb to vertical. Elevator trim adjustments futile unless I put the aircraft in extreme nose down trim. After some adjustments I was able to rectify this, but now my lateral control is unstable, and aircraft are rolling to the left or right wildly. Completely unable to rectify this. Have had stick for a year and this is the first time this has happened. Also happening in all other flight sims so it is not a PF merged interface problem. Any Logitech experts out there? One last thing---underside of base seems unusually hot.

Have you tried downloading their clear calibration utility program?

This could help, not much perhaps, but worth to try.

Disconnected the stick and flew with keys. No problems with key control. Getting CH stick.

Disconnected stick and used keyboard controls. No problems with this method. Stick clearly the culprit. Tossing it for reliable CH stick.

I had that stick too and I HATE it! Sometimes in normal flight it slammed in every direction http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif even when I adjusted everything. I now have the wingman extreem for a couple of years and it works fine http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif No more force feedback for me.

I have a force feed back but opted to use my extreme 3d instead. The vibrations from the feed back seem to loosen all connections and damged the axis sensors. It was not worth the money but I have spare parts tif you need them lmao.
Happy Hunting...

Thanks for the offer, KI_37th_Tiger. I will take you up on your offer if I decide to try to salvage it. I am a technical idiot. Will probably buy another f feedback. Despite their problems, I love the effects!

Bought a brand new Logitech Force 3D Force Feedback stick and junked old Logitech Wingman Strike Force 3d Force Feedback stick. New stick PERFECT. Old stick always acted double jointed in its fore and aft axis which caused oscillation. New stick SMOOTH with excellent force feedback effects (which I like, otherwise I'd get one of the HOTAS combinations). Right off, flying improved---was able to stay right on the wing of a terrified 109G with a LaGG-3 66. Argh.
