Does anyone know if the 190 control surfaces were cloth covered, or just metal? Would help on making skins to know.

Fabric covered. I don't think the control surfaces changed much from the A-1 all the way to the Ta-152 if I recall correctly. Someone else can confirm this.

yes, the 190 had fabric covered control surfaces. except for the flaps. i thought they were metal skinned, but it sounds like maybe they were plywood. (or maybe both, influenced by production limitations during the later years of the war)
