I didn't find this in the search, so here it is.

First news of the Desmond hoodie
http://ubiworkshop.myshopify.c...hoodie-friday-update (http://ubiworkshop.myshopify.com/blogs/news/2657572-the-hoodie-friday-update)

Second part http://ubiworkshop.myshopify.c...odie-friday-update-2 (http://ubiworkshop.myshopify.com/blogs/news/2729102-the-hoodie-friday-update-2)
I'm probably going to get the replica and the black version of the replica. They're just so cool!

Well, it's nice... Keep the pictures under the size limit, please.

And it will be white inside, as it's reversible.

how will that zipper work? like what is it unzipping? And if you put the hood one does it hang down?

Well, the main one of course unzips the actual jacket. The hood zipper, when unzipped, cuts the hood into two, I suppose. When it IS zipped and pulled up, it forms a beak, like the Assassins in the game.

Blind2Society
06-07-2011, 04:13 AM
Well, since the one currently for pre-order has no eagle and is $90... I'm guessing... ummm... way too much. Though this could be the coolest hoodie ever, I still think over $70 (and that's the max) is just rediculous. What is this Hollywood? Over priced clothes for no reason? The only hoodie worth more than $70 are those heated snowboarding ones.

^My Opinion^

I will post here, the review I posted on the ubiworkshop page:

While this hoodie looks wicked to say the least...$90!!!!! You must be having a laugh! I mean we are not made out of money here! I would have also liked it much better if it had the eagle on the back as well. I hope a black/red edition comes out with it.

Also in case you didn't know, you have a LOT of fans in other country other then the the USA. The rest of us would like to be able to easily buy these products and without a HUGE shipping cost. I would really like to see an International store open and see this product drop to a reasonable $30.00.

LaCava1

it is not $40! it is $90! (36.50 by today's exchange rate) it is wicked, but it is not worth over $30. I payed 14.99 ($24.60 by today's exchange rate) for my brotherhood hoodie... seems like a drastic price difference to me

You can have it in any color you want as long as it's black.

You can always dye it anyway.

What's the actual hood look like though? A proper eagle-beaked, face-concealing, sun-shielding Assassin hood or just one of those crappy modern ones that stop at your forehead and fall off when you move faster than a brisk walk?

Crouching.Tiger

90 bucks for a hoodie? No way. However, if it was cheaper, I could definitely buy the white one, as a warning signal to fellow gamers.

I second that question. Can UbiSoft guarantee the hood does not fall off, leaving me exposed, during an important "interrogation task"?

Yeah that is what I am talking about! I am in the UK ( as you probably figured out :P) and it would probably be close to the same for me with the shipping. If they would just add the ubiworkshop store to the official ubi store then we could all buy the products we wanted in our own currency and save a whole lot of money. Of course even with that said... $90 for a plain black hoodie with a red lining is WAY too much anywhere you buy it :P

$90?! Christ, that's really steep.

._. Well, I guess I'll resume my harebrained scheme to make my own custom for myself whenever the fabric store has a sale on sweatshirt material... and hope my 20-year-old sewing machine doesn't set on fire from the awesome.

This is a long shot but does anybody know if or when the sizes for the hoodie will be put on the store?

Blind2Society
06-07-2011, 04:03 PM
I was under the impression that they already are.

As for the hood, it's just a normal style hood but I think it has the zipper(whatever function that serves http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif) Though the hood does have see through sides so you can use your peripheral vision which is cool. Plus the hoodie is polyester, not cotton, so that is where they get their outrageous price from.

And rememeber, the one currantly available for pre-order has no eagle on the back. Meaning, the one that does will most likely cost even more. And $90 is rediculous as it is.

I really wish Ubisoft would be more sensible with regards to demand and more reasonable in regards to the price of the products they offer. I would like to actually get some of it at a decent price before they sell out.

No beaks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

That kinda killed it for me, if it had a beak I may even go for 90, but its just a regular hood

It's not just a regular hoodie. The dev team and UbiGabe were wearing them at the show so I got to see it, and had previously talked to the UbiWorkshop team about the hoodie.

Guys, this isn't simply a plain black hoodie that you could buy at any store, that happens to have an AC-type logo on it. The hoodie itself is custom-designed to accurately replicate the item of clothing seen on Desmond in the game.

It's got all this crazy piece sewing to the shape (hard to describe), as well as these mesh eye holes on each side of the hood. The purpose of the eye holes, I believe, is to allow you to observe people without being seen when your hood is up over your head.

This is why I believe the cost is what it is. The UbiWorkshop guys aren't out to rip you off, believe me, after all this work and planning put into making the Desmond hoodie a tangible reality, THEY WANT YOU TO BE WEARING IT like the straight pimps you are!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Umm what? If i've understood right you seem to think you pay 90 because it's a $90 hoodie? Dude that's not right. You can buy off Ubiworkshop in your own currency, it converts it just before you confirm the order, you aren't paying extra for it.
p.s. when i got The Fall comics from Ubiworkshop, i got all 3 at the same time and the shipping worked out about 3, so i payed around 12 in total for the 3 comics which is a pretty good deal considering they're being shipped from Canada.

90 bucks is a bit too much for a hoodie at the moment but when they show the white one I will probaby have to get it. If they still plan on coming out with a version without the eagle on the back, I will probably get that one.

So that's what they are. I noticed the holes on some of the devs while watching E3 stuff, but I couldn't figure what they were for.

K, so, just for reference, I have a Reebok Bruins hoodie that is very similar. Same material, same multi-panel design. The only thing it lacks is the see thru ports on the hood. The whopper, the hoodie cost me $50!. Anyway, The Desmond hoodie is super cool and I would love to have it. $90, however, is too much.

If it came with either the hat or the t-shirt, (preferably the hat) I would certainly fork over the cash.

Kimi is 100% right...

This is a perfect-grade replica of Desmond's hoodie in Revelations. Not only does it have the extra stitching on the shoulders and body (if you take a close look at Desmond's hoodie, there's a lot of extra decorative stitching going on, and it's perfectly replicated on this action).

Then there's the zipper on the hood, the eagle embossed on the back (which is super subtle on the hoodies we were wearing at the show, but will show up better on the final retail versions) and the zippers have hidden Assassin's Creed calipers. And the mesh vents on the hood.

So, yeah, a neoprene hoodie will probably run you about $50... but then when you add all the "after-market modifications" to make it *exactly* like Desmond's, it adds a substantial amount to the price.

You know how companies when releasing a new product do a type of survey and ask people what they would be willing to pay? Well, this thread is sort of like that, and it seems most people have agreed the price is too high. The others agree but are going to get it anyway.

Now I realise I have not held the hoodie so really I can't say what I think the value should be. But, generally speaking a hoodie should not cost that much no matter how much 'stitching' it has. (save for those heated ones.)

I mean you guys are acting like we've never seen a hoodie before. Granted it's a VERY cool hoodie but c'mon, seriously?

Oh, and no beak? What the french, toast?
