I have flown above enemy carriers and found out that their AAA is hard to deal with, so I tried to find out how it was back in 1942 and looked at how many guns CV3 Saratoga got,and found out at http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USN/ships/dafs/CV/cv3.html
" and had her antiaircraft battery augmented for the last time, receiving 60 40-millimeter guns in place of 36 20-millimeter guns."
Perhaps she got other AAA than thoose 20mm.
The AAA shoot accurately at me flying at 5100m at a distance according to the map of one square and isnt a square 10x10km?
A optical guided 20mm AAA has a effective firerange of 1,5 km.
Isnt the 20mm AAA-guns almost the same guns as mounted in a Spit or IL-2?
Have I missed something or is the AAA of the carriers overdimensioned?
I have nothing aginst USN but I found some figures about her.
