that p-47 film was great!
and i've toughed and stood next to the same airplane. i was standing about 20feet behind him when the pilot fired up that P&w.
Sent chills right through me.
That's about as close to flying a real one as i'll ever get i guess. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

A little weekend bump for for those who missed .
My best part:
German fighter pilot recall how he was hit in to his head while attacking bombers formation , well that for sure left a mark.
Is this for real ? can someone survive something like this ? he survived against all odds.

It's playing without problem with my Windows XP Media Player 11 but also on my older laptop with Windows ME with Media Player 9.
Hope , that player is working for ya , it would be sad to never see this one.
Documentary is slowly but surely picking up on some stunning figting actions.

@ MrMojok

Quality is superb without doubt , very nice piece of history http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The company that made these dvds used to have a site called Flyingmachines.tv, which is gone. They had an e-bay store, which is also gone. I don't know if they have gone under or what.

Emergency ditch landing of P-47 skipping strip in to another parked P-47 almost at the end of this documentary is such a treat to watch.
I would say that first half is a little bit of talking getting to know pilots experience with planes and their stories but the second half is more action and some really nice footage.
Thumb up for this one http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
