A few problems:

I've tried all 4 patch downloads and none work. I don't know what version or release (US or EUEA) I have, I bought it retail in the US though.

The EMEA patches say that MissionEngine.dll is unknown version, and the US patches say that data\Menu\de_menu.txt is an unknown version.

One bug I'm hoping the patch fixes is that, when looking toward the stern of the boat at night while in motion starts flashing, as if the water foam is messing up the display. Also, online play says the UBI servers aren't responding or something - are these known to be unreliable or is this possibly a version thing?

Nevermind, I fixed the patching problem. I still had the no-DVD fix installed, since I'm lazy and don't like to insert my original (which yes, I did buy, before you accuse.) Those no-DVD fixes will kill patching since they change EXEs and DLLs.

I also see the new version number in the lower right corner. I'm kind of surprised that the EUEA patch worked, even though I bought it in California. Oh well, who cares, metric is better anyway. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If the binocular problem is still present I'll let you know.

I also completed my first single player mission yesterday. It was quite an accomplishment - I sunk one merchant. The whole thing took two weeks of nonstop play since I only play at 1x time mode for maximum realism. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You are insane!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

1X TC? Either you don't mind the wear on your computer, or you have a lot of time on your hands. I can't imagine being woken up by the shouts of your crew on your computer speakers, at 2:00 in the morning in real time, to conduct a torpedo attack.

Post more often, I'd like to get an update on your 1X TC adventures.http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

There was a whole article about some guy playing the game with no time compression. Forgot where it is now but it was pretty fun to read.
