Thanks heaps: XxKillabytexX

The SIXAXIS Wireless Controller for PLAYSTATION3 employs a high-precision, motion sensitive, six axis system, which detects natural hand movements for intuitive real-time interactive play. With the adoption of Bluetooth wireless technology, the SIXAXIS Wireless Controller allows up to 7 players to play at the same time, without attaching any other external devices. In addition, by simply inserting a USB cable into the Wireless Controller, users can seamlessly switch from wireless to wired connection and automatically charge its battery while the Wireless Controller is in use. When fully charged, the Wireless Controller's battery life lasts up to 30 hours before recharging is necessary.

it is more or less likt the Wii controller

The six axis is the PS3's wireless controller that has motion sensitivity on the top of it.

Its not motion sensitive, its tilt sensitive.

if you noticed he used it to make the duck jump i don't think that has any tilting whatsoever but maybe you're right... but i'm pretty sure it's motion and tilt sensitive... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

That would make sense, I believe the xbox 360's "rumble pack" will be used during climbing, it seems only natural that ubi would find a way to exploit the PS3 controller's unique attributes during the same sequences. Even if I'm wrong though, it'll most likely be a somewhat gimmicky feature rather than an integral part of controlling Altair.

so problly be like if you tilt the controller to the left it will raise his right hand up to grab somethin?? oh well. and the xbox 360 rumble part.. i heard/read that all thats used for is to sense if your bout to lose your grip and fall.. is that true? an is that all it does?

That would be a nice Feature for the PS3

i doubt it will be used for AC.

or if it is then relegated to some gimmicky thing that wont really help much, but just so they can say they took advantage of it.

I do not think the Six Axis could be used in a proper way on the PS3 as another feature

The sixaxis would definately NOT be used to climb building that would be sooo weird feeling there could be other better ways to use it maybe to steer the horse?

think of it as reigns or so? Would have been nice for Zelda on the wii to use the nunchuk and wiimote as two sides of the horses reigns it even looks like it having the wire in the middle =P

I thought that the tilt function could be used to keep balance, or achieve greater momentum. When walking on a beam, tilt the controller left and right to keep balance, or when you`re about to jump, pull the controller back to gain better height or distance.

oh that's a better idea http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif

didn't tony hawk do that? with the balancing

Both for Horseback riding and balancing could be great features for the PS3

At least these would make the Six Axis useful during gameplay http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I remember reading the article (can't remember what it was now) and it said that the Sixaxis would be used for climbing and that the Xbox has the vibrate function as a sensor for when you gat to close to falling (I know that has already been said). Also im no expert on the Sixaxis but could it be used for the unique fighting system in Assassins Creed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Motorstorm is a game... and there was a demo in the Playstation Store... and you could use the sixaxis to drive the car.... and there wasn't a -sensitivity option- in the demo nor in the actual game...

as for that comment that wasn't mainstream then so it wasn't popular now it's in EVERY playstation controller out there instead of
just that one 3rd party controller so that makes it different because now it's accessible to everyone who owns a ps3... and developers can take advantage of it because they know everyone's going to have one.... that's what makes it new and exciting not because it's new but because now everyone has one

it's good for other things too it's just THAT one wasn't used for anything besides airplane games... in resistance you got to shake the Chimera that grab you off or when you get tagged with a bullseye you can shake it off by shaking the controller so yea... uhh i'm done
