with any luck it will remedy the indestructible tramp steamers. my biggest and only real gripe with GWX http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Is it the patch GWX Patch 1.02?

Is it the patch GWX Patch 1.02?

I believe it is. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif There seems to be a question about installing this new patch, over a version that has the Dec.23 hotfix installed via the JSGME. If I'm not mistaken, all activated mods, includeing the hotfix (if you installed via JSGME) must be deactivated prior to the installation of this new patch.

In the end I took the other thing out because it was screwing up my surface crusing at ahead slow. I was only doing 2 knots on the surface and I was thinking, rightttt..... this has to go.

02-20-2007, 11:46 AM
Hmmmm - and I've just downloaded the patch and tried, unsuccessfully, to install it. It's demanding "key GWX files" to be in the folder I want to install in - whatever that means.

02-20-2007, 01:13 PM
this may help people using SH3 commander

Before Installing GWX V 1.02 you have to use the "Rollback Sh3" option, then disable all JSGME enabled mods, then Install GWX v1.02, then re-enable the JSGME mods you would like to use.

1.Rollback SH3 Commander
2. Disable All JSGME mods
3. Install GWX v1.02
4. Re-enable all mods.

Till I know what the patch does I am installing nothing.

02-20-2007, 02:11 PM
demigod/ ahh did you follow the links to the jsgme home site ....it has a listing of the corrections.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

02-20-2007, 02:22 PM
I have all mods disabled from JSGME, but the 'rollback' button on SH3 Cdr is greyed out, so I presume it's already 'rolled-back'. Still unable to get this patch to install.

thanks BR!

I'll put it in. I hope the GWX developers and supporters will forgive my mistrust but I do have a natural fear of Supermods for some reason.

One thing, it alters the submarine configurations so they automatically go to 2 kts when you hit silent running, where are the sub configurations because that is the one thing I don't want. It screws up your surface propulsion at ahead slow and I can select 2 kts myself its not hard. Cheers! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Does anyone have the patch as a torrent?

02-20-2007, 03:39 PM

I just installed GWX today and in the folder I only hit the GWX set up, there was another which I never touched called jsmd5c set up exe I never click on that.. Did loading the GWX set up install whatever jsmd5c is or would I have to have installed that as well?

And about a Hotfix ? again only install the GWX set up from the torrent?

Bottom line, seeing as I only have just installed GWX set up and not the jsmd5c nor the hotfix? ( unless these were contained in GWX set up anyeay)

Could I just go ahead and install 1.02 without "rolling back" or uninstalling any hotfix or anything?

Thanks ...

Where do you get the gwx. I got the 1.02, but need the orig. I haven't seen where and what file you need to install it. I've never tried it.

I pulled in to port, installed GWX 102 and now I have this Antenna? on my boat, anyone know what it is?I'm currently in a VIIB,JULY 1940

02-20-2007, 06:43 PM
Its a radio antenna. It was there all the time, stowed in the edge of the splash shield. Now, it works as it should.

02-20-2007, 06:54 PM
It's a radio direction finding loop, used to home in on radio bearings.

02-20-2007, 07:12 PM
ThankYou guys http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gifthis is the first I noticed it,is it new to GWX102?..OPPS I just saw this in the list of features...Raised DF antennas and made them rotate.

02-20-2007, 07:33 PM
is it possible to retract the RDF, because when I set for periscope depth, the little bugger was sticking above the surface of the water!! It got spotted by 2 DD's and now I have to deal with them because of it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif plus theres no animation for it below the water, so the top will be sticking up on the surface, but when u drop the camera below the surface, it wont be there anymore.

Try hitting Shift and R. That raises and lowers radar anetennas so might work on that too.

02-21-2007, 03:02 AM
Guys, where are the sub configurations found? Just this patch alters the ahead slow setting and screws up your surface propulsion at ahead slow.

Would it be possible to keep the original sub settings and then patch, then overwrite the patches settings with the original sub settings so I won't do 2 knots on the surface when I hit ahead slow?
