Well, one night, I was playing this wonderful game, and I was blowing every thing, EVERY THING, out of the water-

Making a 100K patrol is all about sinking the biggest, fattest targets you can find with as little ammo as possible. I've done it twice @ 85% difficulty (auto-target enabled) & had to use everything down to the flak gun until all ammo was nearly gone (if it wasn't)... would've thrown the sink if that was an option too... and targeted C2s, C3s, T2s, & T3s exclusively. I've only seen 2 liners in the game so far & both were neutral. I've yet to see a task force. Only seen other people's screenies of them. "Have patience, grasshopper." http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif (Sorry, couldn't resist.) But seriously, you can go long periods of time between finding "suitable targets". And the hydrophone needs to become your next best friend while you hang out in a major shipping lane. Don't trust any crewman to man the hydrophone; do it yourself! I'm surprised by what they don't hear sometimes!

That's still very good work for the early war period; well done!
For the 100k and finding liners, wait till the USA joins the war - you'll be based in France by then, of course - and patrol the North-South line of separation between deep and shallow water running from the northwestern edge of BF17 North to the Southwestern corner of AM87. This is the "arrival gate" of most US liners, and sometimes some juicy tankers show up too. Ignore any contacts that shows courses of having come FROM Britain or travelled around Ireland and not coming across the Atlantic. Focus on contacts marked as "fast" (may be a Liner, but T2 and T3 sometimes go "fast" too when travelling alone).
Once you got your first liner, note its course and "reverse" it a bit to get a bit further away from Britain with its air bases, but not too far (2 grid squares at most) and wait for the next liner show up, usually within 48h.

On th other side of the Atlantic, the "departure gate" for the liners is the Southern edge of the shallow water zone off Nova Scotia, Southwestern edge of gereat grid square BC and North-central edge of great grid square CC. Again, on average every 24-48h a liner passes by on high speed.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I am nowhere near that level yet! Lol http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

The most I've got is 49k, so I've a long way to go! So congrats from me!

It's not about tonnage it's all about looking good on the conning tower as you enter port were the fine ladies are with the roses.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The last thing I heard as the British boarded my boat, "Boot hoch halten sonst wird keiner gerettet!"....Keep the boat afloat or no one will be rescued! My war was over....

I guess it depends on your particular sense of humour. I've seen stuff like this before, World of Warcraft geeks are very fond of this sort of thing.

Let the flaming begin.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
