Well..."sigh" after the application of the 1.11 patch

The AI flights still go through all their squirrel manuevering when they are descending. They are still colliding with each other constantly.

Usually losing 2 per descent, makes for pretty lousy odds.

The big problem is...you never know how many planes are gonna make it over target areas.

I've posted about this since FB first came out, on ORR, General Discussion, etc. I think I should be sending mail to myself...at least it would be getting read..by me. LOL

This is still a great sim, but a long way from what it could be. The best thing about competition is...you keep screwing up enough...someone else will fix the problems and put out a better product...thereby kickin' your butt.

The FMB is so friggin' lousy. Time consuming as all Heck, but nevertheless you can still get pretty good missions with a lot of effort and time spent.

I'm whinning, but I still rate this the best ever, WW2 Prop sim.

There's a few places in the game where the AI goes nuts. These include descents, but also:

- Bomber escorts who keep looping, climbing, diving, zig-zagging & generally being a bit silly. It would be better if they just matched the speed of the bombers & flew on station.

- Campaign missions where the flight path height is below ground level due to hills. They will fly level until they see the ground coming up to meet them, then climb sharply, dive back towards altitude, climb sharply again, and just keep flipping up and down like that until they get over the hill.
