First forgive me if this has been discussed already in the forums. I searched but couldn't find anything......anyway my problem is with folding the wings on the F4F-3. Even after binding a key, I still can't get them to fold up after landing. Do I have to do something else first? or be on a specific area on the deck? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks all .

it seems that the wings do not fold on the earliest Wildcat version in PF..try the FM-2 - those wings fold...must be a bug on the F4F-3

It isn't a bug, the F4F-3 didn't have folding wings. The first F4F with folding wings was the F4F-4.

Must be a bug in your head.

F4F-3 didn't had the folding wings in the real life. I wonder, how long did you try to fold the wing in the SBD?

I like to try and take off from a carrier with my wings folded. It's fun. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oh boy! Oh boy €" somebody who knows less than me!!! It will be such fun flaming him!!! I guess all you geniuses knew from age 2 that the F4F-3 didn€t have folding wings. This place is brutal, I must say. These comments exclude Tater, who simply answered the question! Geez.

My point was jumping on a new poster asking a question that maybe 30 percent of the posters here already know. Yeah, he was asking for it, walking into a place like this, asking a question that we all know. We gotta get these €œnoobes€ after all. They€re not like us. We can€t trust them. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If people would browse the Readme i think their problems would be solved much sooner.
People get tired of posting the same answers to the same questions that are given to you in the readme.
I dont think it's a case of "noob" hating.
Just RTFM frustrations

Actually I knew... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

...since age 5, when I broke the folding wings mechanism of my dad's F4F-4 1/48 model... he glued the wings fixed and said: "Well, now it is a F4F-3". http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Welcome to the zoo RDG38 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif You can learn a lot here from these prophead professors. Most of them are decent chaps. Some of them are a little insecure so they go over the top to make themselves sound bigger than they are.

Hello,

For the person that did the first post,
the F4F-4 did have folding wings but only from the outside of the plane, to fold and unfold the wings a ground crew must cranck the wings into position. The FM-2 and some late F4F-4 did have a hydraulic system. The F4F-3 never had any folding wings and wery early F4F-4 the same.
