If you were in German ports, are there still U-Boat pens there to remond us of the past? Or did they tear them all down?

I think the ones in France are still there and are used by the French Navy.

There are still several bases in existence, complete with pens (or the remains of them) in Germany, France and Norway. Take a look at the 'U-boat bases' information and present day photos over on uboat.net (http://uboat.net/flotillas/bases/)

Lorient still has them as a wartime reminder/museum...saw on a WWII documentary over the battle of the Atlantic(probably discoverychan. can be found on the net by now if you look around a bit if you're interested)

Yes, even if they are not used for French sub-marines (yes! they exist! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif )

FYI, I found this picture of one of U-Bunker in Brest after a RAF attack. I you look at it carefully, you will notice the man holding the pose at the bottom. This gives you an idea of the size of the construction.
