Hi
I programmed my X45 to use the rotaries for trim in the HOTAS section of FB. However when I am flying my I-16, trimming the plane doesnt work, the plane continually points up. Only solution is to either keep level stabilisers/autopilot on, or point nose down. Is this a feature of the I-16 mk 18 or my stick? In the Saitek profile manager they are no programmed.

Cheers for the replies. I thought as much, after playing with an IL2 which did respond...

I-16, I-153, TB3, all have no trim whatsoever. If we get a flyable B-24, we'll have to add that to the planes with no trim list.

Real pilots fly real a/c which dont have trim. They should be "flown" all the time. Trim is for wussies!

Trim tut! whatever next? they'll be putting radios in aircraft!!

B-24 had no trim? If thats the case, what a brutal ride it must have been.
How'd they handle the line-up for a run? Muscle?

You sure about that? Why are #61, #65 and #76 labeled
'tab knob'?

There's no way anybody could fly a B-24 for long without trim, unless it was designed to be trimmed at cruise speed and they maintained that exact speed most of the time. But the speed for this trimmed flight would change at different altiudes though. Seems almost impossibly inept to not put at least evevator trim tabs on a big bomber, when it can easily be done without adding much weight. Usually planes of that size had rudder and aileron trim too. I think you are mistaken, as surely it had trim!!
