I don't get it...

Are you talking about ads or about Flight-Sim docs? (I allways get a bit weary when reading "Sponsorship"...)
Will it air on any of the other Discovery channels (I -only? LOL- have Discovery, D Science, D Civilisation, D Travel, and Animal planet) but not Wings http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif(( maybe it's time to call my cable company...

Well maybe they'll put it on a DVD ? for those that can't receive Wings ?

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you are saying...it must be different terminology in different parts of the world. What is a "Sponsorship Creative"? Do you mean that UBI will simply be "advertising" Pacifc Fighters during the commercial breaks of the show?

if there will be advertising for the game P.F. this will be a godsend.

thousands upon thousands of sim enthusiasts will buy the game that otherwise would have no idea what P.F. is.

they are only noobs for a month ...then new aces are born.

even i was a noob once....six years ago

It's unlikely that PF will run ads, but it may be used to re-create specific battles or scenarios to enhance the discussion. Should be a good use of the program. Edited ntrks could be used to simulate battles...DWINGS has used flight sims this way before.

In any case, seems like a good application for PF. And we'll get a preview. That isn't all bad.

Why wouldn't they run ads??
Someone put all that work into the trailer for PF, and it screams cinematc advertisment. I would think that they will play this ad on Discovery Wings during this time, particularly when the programming has featured aircraft from PF. Makes sense to me. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thunak-

What does this mean? That PF will be mentioned as they cover aircraft present in PF? Sponsorship creatives sure do sound like ad spots to me.

Does this sponsorship mean that the Dev team are going to make a public apology to the British people for what they did to the Hurricane ingame? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'll fetch me coat.

If they do use the sim to re-create some scenes, that would be brilliant advertising.

However, I suspect they'll use those dub in sounds instead of the actual, not quite good, sounds from the game (unless I'm wrong and they actually made the in game sounds that good). Using dub in sounds in trailers and other forms of advertising is kind of misleading in my opinion.

Looks like the US programming is different. Hope to see the new show there but don't see it currently.

I cant wait to hear the hue and cry when those ppl who bought PF find they cant depth charge subs, torpedo surface ships or conduct ohka suicide attacks as shown in either the tv programme, or in any re-creation using PF...

Those who wish to be roasted in Bettys are in for a treat tho...

Bring on the noobs. An influx of $$$ will
be good news for the developers. It could
mean new toys for us all. Oleg and team will have a larger budget so more projects can
come to light.

Advertising means people buy the game which means more success for 1C:Maddox which means we are more assured of getting more things in the future. Seems like a good idea to me. There may be a few more posts on the boards, but we can cope with that I am sure.

Noobs flying - well in WW2 there were a whole lot of green pilots without combat experience meeting more experienced pilots in combat. It will be much like that. I just hope the new pilots don't get fed up of being shot down and get pissed off and go away. Maybe now is the time for squadrons to be ready with open arms to invite some of the new pilots to join, encourage them, and train them up.
