Hello, Oleg, hope you and the family (and Dev team) are well.

I just wanted to suggest that one of the difficulty options `No Instant Mission Success` for the offline Campaign should be changed. Many times, Users keep this to ON and become disheartened when they fail the mission but survive in friendly territory and have to try the same EXACT mission over and over ad infinitum.

They often do not realise that `Instant Mission Success` set to off means that if they fail a mission, but don`t die or get captured then they can progress on in the campaign world. The true meaning of this title is somewhat misleading for English speakers.

I would suggest you make a simple change to the title of this difficulty to:

Do not Allow Mission failure Continuation

or

Disallow Mission Failure

So if the player switches this to OFF he will be able to carry on the mission as long as he doesn`t die or get captured.

It`s up to you whether you implement this or not, but it would be wise and easier for others (especially new users) to understand if you did. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It's definitely hard to comprehend, but I'm doubtful that either of your suggestions are that much better; not that I have a better one myself. I think the concept itself might be a bit clumsy to put into words. How about "Require mission success" or "Enforce mission objectives"? I dunno...

Of course we can always go for complete honesty and call the option, "Frustrate yourself"! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I think that a good name for this fonction could be "RTFM"

All difficulty options are explained in TFM. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes. It`s the fact that switching it OFF is MORE realistic that causes a lot of confusion. In truth, `full real` as depicted, isn`t actually full real (but we all know this).

It would be easier if Oleg altered the settings so switching to ON actually allowed the User to continue the mission if he failed, but lived and wasn`t captured.

Perhaps someone could suggest a simpler title that gets to the point of its true function? Post if any of you can think of something better than my attempts. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

p.s. Glad to help, nares and you`ve helped illustrate the problem.

I'm with you on this one SF - the current system is confusing. We could put it this way: The more red lights on the more realism.

1. it is not realistic to have to refly a mission cause you did not get the target
2. you always have the option to refly the mission if you want

so why not remove this option at all?
or even better: exchange it with a something usefull like "give me a bottle beer** on success" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
**Soft drink if your below 18

That`s good. Perhaps Oleg will have the words in the English version changed to this?

It's the only realism option I turn off. No, on.... err it is confusing.

The whole difficulty screen is full of double negatives. Try to set the dedicated server for a real mind-bender!

OK, how about this alternative:

"Must complete mission objectives"?
