Since BalideJr took his server down I have really missed that simple joy of dogfighting in Crapplanes(TM) on a simple map with only ONE plane available.

I have always enjoyed F16_Dedicated, Coops, Online Wars etc. Going back to basic though can really be refreshing sometimes..

So therfor F19 VS (http://www.f19vs.se) proudly present: F19_Cr@pGalore

This week's Cr@p plane: J8A

Have fun!

Way to go guys, God bless Sweden and her enterprising and tasteful sons, who appreciate the fine design of 1930's planes!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Oh , and to Baldie!!!

Excellent! I'll join whenever I have the time, wich is far too seldom..

Is it unapropriate to suggest that you give us the opportunity to choose between two types of planes, one for the red and one for the blue team?

Well Skarphol. It was really ONE plane available on Baldie's server that intrigued me. To fight on equal terms and different planes every week. I was thinking doing the same as Baldie did when he had his server running, let the community vote for what airplane should be available. (Though about doing it now b ut with the voting not working yet, the J8A seemed to be a decent 1st plane http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

On Baldie's we usually flew Chaikas and B.239's. Now we have J8A and G50 so lot more interesting fights can take placehttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I promise, fighting J8A vs J8A will be GREAT fun!!!

Sounds good, I'll keep my eyes open for it.

suggestion: rotate maps, year plane sets vs. each other and recreate actual maps if possible.
I've flown on the UK and at times thats fantastic..IF you've got the better plane LOL

EDIT: I was just in there...no one was around. Is it dedicated? Does it run 9PM EST? how about externals so we can 'help' our squad mates and lastly, only 6 flyers at a time?

Crap planes suits my style of flying which is ..er... crap.

Same planes pitted against eachother can be fun,
anyway a welcome change to my standard flying.
It will be fun with equal terms for once http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif

I remember a fight long ago with p11's pitted aginst p11's and stukas as fighterbombers. That was a ball.
At one time I was out of ammo with an angry foe trying to gain an angle on me. Well I managed to end up behind him and stayed there (close).
One of his mates tried to shoot me off his tail but I wiggled and bunted but held the close position through loops, rolls and yoyos and eventually my chaser got occupied elsewhere. I kept at my foe until he had an overheating, perhaps malfunctioning engine and had to turn home (I escorted a while) and at best opportunity I headed back (made a short detour in clouds as usual) and landed .

----------------------------------

TB3 against TB3 is interesting. Anyway its fun to man the gunnerpositions while dogfighting and rattling away wildly at eachother ....It sure looks crazy, especially with Track-IR since u can look around while firing in another way (I accidentally killed my pilot while doing this in the frontgunnerposition...he he).

Oho ...its possible to write "crap" again.

Good news! The early...er...cr@p plane maps are far and few between these days. For a long while, I was the leading J8A pilot on greatergreen and very much enjoyed flying them against the Emils, Hurri's, Cr42's and G 50's.

My flying time has been more limited lately than I prefer, but I'll drop in for a few sorties now and then. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It is dedicated and I will try to have it up 24/7

I will keep it simple... just one map, 2 bases, basic dogfighting with ONE available airplane, this week J8A. Had a joust with GH_Aufpassen, can't get more intense .. great fun

Bring on the cr@p planes! The Golden Age of aviation comes back in full glory http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Baldie's games were a true revelation. At first sight the unique choice of planes seemed to be a bit odd, but once in the air the whole thing made sense: You just can't rely on having the edge on speed, turn rate, or even firepower. It's just about energy management and situation awareness. And no moaning about FM's. If you get shot down it's just your fault http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I love early planes or crap planes as their called . All of them have their quirks which makes fights very intesting. I like to see match ups with any compination of these planes g50, hurricane 1938 , fiat 42, b239 ,p11 , i153 ,i16 ,emil and the j8a.

Just wanted to thank the participants from yesterdays session. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I stayed a while longer than intended because there were so many good, nuanced Gladiatorpilots. I was lucky enough to get an initial angle on a few.
I also noticed how useful my flying in the il-2 has been, wich have forced me to always fly on the exreeme limit just to get home.
My fondness of clouds saved me more than once and I have learned to trust them more than wingmen. ( sry felllows http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif )

Other than that it was great to meet the f16 buddies aswell as my f19's.
Always fun when U join in Haddock!
I had almost forgot how good it felt to be in an equally good machine as the opposition, nice change.

Thnx again mates....

Great news Orheim! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I've missed Baldie's server too, I always had a blast there (even though Ash seemed to shove rockets up my I-152's rear all the time...) and like you say, the fact that we're all in the same plane type means that we fight on equal grounds.

Keep it simple and clean, just like in the good ol' days. I'll pop in as often as I can. (How 'bout just sticking to the J8A? There's no other bird that can match her in beauty and feel. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

Thanks F19 for a great server and an intresting theme. I was having a blast yesterday with some intense dogfighting. As already stated, it all comes down to your skill. All other factors are eliminated.

With the J8A you can apply angles tactics in its purest form by twisting around like a mad man. This plane is to my knowledge the most maneuverable in the entire FB plane set. The dogfight are close and very intense.

I'll be joining tonight again.
Cheers,
***** Galore
