P-39,

Best combo of maneuverability, climb, dive, firepower and REALLY tough to spin. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Me 262 of course, but if you exclude the jets/rockets, it`s the K-4.

It`s speed, climb and dive enable it to dictate the fight all the time in the hands of a competent pilot who heard anything about tactics, and the MK 108 is finally fixed = 1 hit, 1 kill. Not to mention handling is beutiful, much better stall characteristics than most other planes.. it`s easy to push it to it`s limits.

Who CARES?

And if anyone knows, why would they tell you, so you can instantly enjoy its benefits every time you fly, without doing the work of learning and discovering for yourself?

Ueberplane-ism sucks. It's not always about "the best plane". Find a plane (or a plane series) you like and MASTER it. Learn how to kill in it, even if the other guy's flying a better plane, or the "plane du jour" ueberplane. And, some of the honest, non-ueber planes are fun to fly, too.

Also, you do know: the easiest way to spot a noob on a DF server is to look for the ueberplane? LAs and Yak3s are usually a sure sign that you have a chance to survive the ueberplane simply because the pilot has no clue what he's doing in it, or any other plane.

The way some of you talk, I bet you never fly anything earlier than 1944.

Hmmm. If I had the chance to drive a 2003 BMW M5, or a 1980's Mustang which one would I drive?. Hmmmmmm, maybe I'll do the self deprecating thing and drive the old slow piece of crap so everyone can blow my doors off. yeah thats what I'll do, seems right. That way I can complain all the time about the speedsters on the road, must be noobs to drivin and need post 90's cars. The nerve of em...hmmmmm /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
