This is partially tongue in cheek, and partially serious.

Oleg to set up a start up company to produce a reasonably priced rudder pedals. (say, 50-60 Euro, or what ever he can make them for and turn a profit. I mean, Logitech can do entire sticks for <10) Give away the Pe-2 add-on with them, or stick it on the Pedal software disk.

Oleg gets to diversify his business and make extra money.

The add-on is free so circumventing the UBI distribution. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

Those of us without pedals get the chance (or are forced) to get some (presumably, given the current FM, they€ll be even more essential for BoB)

Those of us with pedals, have obviously got too much ****** money anyway http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif) so can afford to pay just for the add-on and throw the pedals away.

CH€s monopoly is broken (dunno about the rest of the world but they€re >100 over here)

Users of other flight sims may find the OlegPed" attractive tto buy for it€s own sake and so be introduced to his software.

Now, it€s just a thought, I€m sure there are loads of probs, so no need to flame my ars3. Unless you€re the CEO of CH products, natch. (if you are, apologies)

HAH-HAH...!!

But seriously speaking I share your view for Oleg`s profit. I wish he could make more money, hence pay more salaries and end up with simulators like never before!

As a comment conscerning those with too much money - - - I`m not interested in if somebody have too much of it as long as I`M LACKING IT FOR ****`s SAKE! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Have a nice weekend,

Thats good.

Remind me of a lawyer joke about ******s.

"I'm not selling sex, I'm selling condoms for $250 each and giving away a free demonstration with each sale."

I think Oleg is more interested in maintaining good relations with Ubi.

Ok!,...heres a question then?,...how do WE ( the western market) go about getting our hands on a russian market FB/AEP/PF especially if we dont know anyone in Russia? so that we can fly the planes for that market only???? because lets face it, a Lot of ppl WANT the aircraft available in the upcoming addon...pe2/3 etc!

Would Russian market version even be compatible with Western one?If so surely it couldnt be too hard to arrange "Personal Imports"?!

he could get rudder pedal manufacturers to ship it with their products and stick an extra ten quid on the price which would be given to oleg. Bit like giving a game with a gfx card

Like Sparty said, would the Russian one run on an English OS? I have a couple of Japanese versions of games(COD and MoH:AA) - one shows up fine (in Japanese)and can in fact be installed in English but the other is just random squiggles for all the menus, though the game itself works fine.
If it does work, we could recruit a Russian based member, send him the cash and our addresses and start a little distribution ring. Anyone know any Russians looking for a side-business?!!

There is no big problem with running a Russian game on your PC.The problem is the Russian community will theoretically be isolated from us because the addon makes west and Russian games incompatible.

So do you think the menus and stuff would show up in English? As I said, COD came up in squiggles even though I have the Japanese language pack installed on my PC so to install, select options etc, it was just guess work as iit was incomprehensible. Still, once someone has done it once then it ceases to be a problem as we can share the info.

we're all gonna wind up on 60 minuites as some kinda rusn mafia smuggling ring violating the sacred trade marks of aircraft companies blah blah blah....

I wanna be the "organization's" enforcer.....you know, the heavy, the trigger guy, the hitman, etc....

why do you think i use this callsign, anyway? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
