As for this year, I hate to say it could be Ottawa (even though I live in Ottawa...never liked them).

Looks great. Everyone should check out the netwings (FB design and development) forum once in awhile for the latest news.

And Ottawa chokes in the playoffs every year, though they are my second favorite team. They are still young so here is hoping. Redden is awesome.

I'm a Canes fan. We went from being in the Stanley Cup to the worst team in hockey last year. We are 0-2 already but I still think we have a decent team.

I gotta go with the Avalanche for the cup, too much firepower with addition of Selanne and Kariya. Their offense is just sick.

Can anybody tell me where you can find drawings of the planes like the one in the first post? Are they available for download,or do you have to buy them somewhere?

XyZspineZyX

I wonder if many of the aircraft we keep seeing will ever actually appear in the game?

Maybe I'm being cynical, but so far the grand total of new aircraft released for FB is precisely zero. Unfortunately, many of the new aircraft are in the hands of third-party developers who, frankly, just aren't up to the task of delivering product in a sensible time frame. Only Gibbage seems able to deliver finished product on time.

For the other aircraft we see some finished externals, but after that it all goes quiet - probably because the 3-D cockpit is actually the hardest and least fun part of the process. The internals may eventually get finished, but FB is already beginning to look dated in some areas (compare the crude late Bf 109 cockpit in FB to the jaw-dropping Mig-29 in the LOMAC demo) and interest is only going to wane further as we begin to look forward to LOMAC and BoB.

How many aircraft are lost in limbo? I can think of the Bf-110, Ju-88, Fiat G 50, Gladiator, various Spitfifes etc. (and how astonishing a marketing blunder is it not to have a Spitfire in a WWII prop sim?).

Don't get me wrong, I know we are about to get one version of the P-51 and a payware add on of some other aircraft later, but I suspect that many of the projects we see on netwings will never fly in FB.

Regards,

RocketDog.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. It's getting a little tiring seeing "development updates" that will probably never appear in the game.

I'd rather see an update once a month with the **actual** new game features that will be incorporated into the game. Otherwise it's all just speculation. Look at the beautiful DO 335 that Gibbage modelled - where is it? Why isn't it listed in the paid-for addon after all that hard work?

Seems to me 1C needs to reorganize and move their development inhouse where they can control it.

Seriously DDT, the late war Japanese planes were not the Ronson lighters of the sky that the early war planes were.

Whilst the Ki61 has long been a favorite of mine, the Ki84 Hayate is going to raise some eyebrows when it appears in DF servers, if it is properly modeled. The Ki84 has a blend of vertical and horizontal performance that was achieved by few aircraft during the WW2 period. The F8 was better all around, but not much else was. And as we all know, the F8 never saw combat.

Sheesh!

It's Bonsai=tree

Banzai= a "cheer"
Banzai literally means ten thousand years (of life). It is written with the combination of the kanji characters for "ten thousand" and "age." As a cheer it can be translated as "Long life!" or "Hurrah!" It is usually repeated three times to express enthusiasm, to celebrate a victory or some other happy occasion or event, while raising both arms. It is commonly done together with a large group of people. It can be a "war cry" of sorts....

Also,"Tennou heika Banzai!" ... In this context it can be paraphrased as "Long live his Majesty the Emperor" or "Salute the Emperor", etc....

My understanding (from Gib) is that it works like this. All the 3rd party models are being built on spec by modelers working on their own time. When they finish they submit to Maddox for evaluation and if accepted for a pay add-on they get paid. According to the development forum at Netwings their "deadlines" have been extended.

Knokke's Ki-44 was amazing still is to this day for cfs2, we really need the ki-27 which most avg faced on the norm and get most of thier kills on them.

For CFS2 bruno duffort and paul rebuffat had a really well made ki-27, I think some fly on hyperlobby as DDD squad but most arent around and either are thier sites. Maybe someone can contact them
