Hi,

Just been skipping through a video collection that TaylorTony reminded me of yesterday. Click. (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/2731059665)

As the wife is hogging the TV with countless episodes of 'Friends' ( http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif), Ive been sat in the study watching one of the Su-27/Mig Collection video.

It really is a great collection, and heres a snippet of the Su-37 doing the Super Cobra, and a few pilots commenting on in back in 1996 :

What kind of planes are those?
It's unreal... never thought a jet can do such maneuvers.

I heard some things about Cobra maneuver and saw it but what is on that video is most impressive.

I saw the Mig-29 OVT last year at RIAT 2006. It was a complete UFO. Jaw dropping performance. Other stuff like the superbug, the Typhoon, they were astonishing but the OVT was sci-fi.

Kewl as feck to look at too.

I haven't seen the OVT pull maneuvers at speed and then recover at will. It only seems to recover well at very low velocities (- just my personal observation from one video though).

What I find interesting are the claims for controlled aerodynamic supermaneuverability. Marmelodov (I-2000/Integral/Sha***h) was claiming they could produce sustained control at over fifty degrees angle of attack.

The Su-47/S-37 Berkut may well have already accomplished a similar feat (the results are classified but there are a few shots of the canards and wing leading edges in "down" positions which really work on my imagination).
