As a flight simulation fan, I am no stranger to major computer upgrades: processor, motherboard, video card swaps. Upgrading is a way of life to stay on the bleeding edge of performance needed to keep up with the ever-increasing hardware demands of the games.

The quote below is from the Vista EULA. What does Microsoft consider a ???device???? Does this mean if I have Vista installed on my computer, I am limited to only ONE major upgrade before I have to buy another Vista license? This could add an extra couple of hundred bucks to every other upgrade. That isn???t very appealing. I guess it???s best to stick with XP for as long as possible. Or am I reading it wrong?

???15. REASSIGN TO ANOTHER DEVICE.
a. Software Other than Windows Anytime Upgrade. The first user of the software may reassign the license to another device one time. If you reassign the license, that other device becomes the ???licensed device.???
b. Windows Anytime Upgrade Software. The first user of the software may reassign the license to another device one time, but only if the license terms of the software you upgraded from allows reassignment.???<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Lyrics from Naked Raygun's "Rat Patrol".
"What we need to take control,we could use the Rat Patrol. What's that coming over the dune?...
Chasing the halftracks across the sandflats, got a nice pine box,for that desert fox, machine guns blaring, and Arabs staring wondering why,the Westerners are there. It's the same old story, and it'll happen again."
