It's my first and i'd like some of you to see it, but 85MB [19 minutes] is a lot... I'd only want it up there for a couple of weeks then it could be gone

I'm currently about finished rebuilding my server, I should have it up by this weekend, and then I'll be more than happy to offer you some space. Let me know if you can wait this long.

S! All!

I just got a server up and running for Scorched Earth. I've got a truckload of storage space available. Send it to wally@doghousecomputing.com (I don't have FTP up - I don't really need FTP for Scorched Earth either...) and I'll host it for you. I effectively have a half of a T-1, so I have plenty of bandwidth.

I like DivX meself. Good, reliable, versatile, and configurable.

original was 226MB 85MB is compressed
i wanted it to play on a large window instead of a smaller one.
DivX isn't universal yet... Micro$oft makes wmv accepted almost anywhere

Why not transfer it VIA ICQ or MSN? They don't have limits.

S! JRJacobs!

The ISP that hosts my website and thus my e-mail is a small ISP. They don't have any limits for e-mail inboxes. There are a lot of smaller ISPs that don't have limits...

If you want to hook up via ICQ or something, that's another option as someone mentioned.

thank you... i've ftp'd it to your site but it's named SOSsmall.wmv [i would have renamed it to match what you had but you had it in mpg and i have it in wmv so just renaming it wouldn't work - and yes i think it's worth it to download it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ]

How about using an utility such as winrar to split it into lets say four pieces and then sending it through email?

I could also host it for you for a few weeks. Try it with my email:

chapman@eeh.ee.ethz.ch

Don't know if they'll block it, the largest I've had before is 20MB. I can get it by FTP, but I don't think I can host an FTP. If you can tell me where to find it by FTP, send me the info and I'll do that.

If that doesn't work, mail me the 22 RAR parts along with instructions on how to reassemble them (I have it installed but don't use it regularly). Otherwise, we could do it by MSN when I'm home sometime.

Even if Walldog hosts it I'd be happy to mirror it for you for the few weeks.

Cheers,
Mike

it's not WinRAR it's a nifty file splitting program called GSsplit [you can find it at www.gdgsoft.com/gsplit/] (http://www.gdgsoft.com/gsplit/]) and it's free !
Place all 22 files and the EXE in one folder then run the EXE presto chango it joins all the files together /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

soon as i get a link i'll post the movie... i really think it worth the effort, i just hope you guys think so too
