Hey, just a quick comment about the sun. Will try to keep short

I think that if my pilots head is looking anywhere in the direction of the sun - so if the sun is somewhere on my screen, ANYWHERE on my screen - then a huge chunk of my vision should be blinded.
I should NOT only be blinded if the sun is directly in the centre of my screen (as is in IL2 at the moment).

For example;
If you try chasing a plane into the sun, all you need to do is turn your vision to the side slightly and they stand out like the preverbial!!!

This really really needs to addressed, as the sun is a major tactic in air combat.

(I realise this will not be possible for the upcoming patch because of lack of time, but maybe the one after?)

What they need to do is make the sun blinding follow the sun rather than affecting the whole screen. Don't know if that is worth the effort to program though.

Careful what they ask for, you may get it. If they did what you asked, you will whine even worse about the "fix" cos you won't see anything within 90 degrees of sun.

PS:: what the Poster is talking about is seen only if Landscape Lighting is set to maximum quality or the Land Shading (I think) set to 3 in "conf" file.

I agree lexx. Like it was in mig alley. I played last night, and the migs were comming out of the sun, I padlocked them and could not see them if you are looking 10deg from upsun.
