View Full Version : How much "Gun" is the French Revolution

during that time period.. were they still fighting melee with swords and stuff... or were they using guns.. i dont want ac to turn into a shooter and i am worried the French revolution will be to "gunny".. and will involve the gun alot......

More, but not too much. Hand to hand combat and sword fighting were still prevalent. This is also a time and place where "duels" were common. And of course, as mentioned, the guillotine. I think it will be ideal, because it will require players to focus more on stealth and cunning again, but still be able to give players some plausible scenarios where they get into some all out melee swordfights.

Fun Fact: the nazis executed more people with Guillotines in WWII than the French did during the French Revolution. Hmmm...probably not as fun for the executionees.



On that note, I wonder if the assassins might have incorporated that technology into their weapons. Hidden Guillotine?

yeah they were still using swords for the most part although muskets were starting to get a lot better. people would actually still be dueling for over another 100 year.
