I had got my lerners permit in June and have done prity well till today....

I was crusing at 40mph(64 km/h) and I forgot the #1 rule of the road, ALLWAYS FOCOUS ON THE ROAD! I nearly rear ended a Toyta (1ft.) and almost sideswiped him when I swerved to avoid after slaming the brakes.(2-3in). OOPS.

Well, its good you managed it fine. Im not sure how you blokes do your learners over there, but here we need a fully licensed driver in the car with us. I know that saved my *** a couple of times.

The thing to take from it is the lesson, which you already pointed out - always pay total attention. I learned it, and am proud to say i've never had anything close to a bingle, let alone one where i could be held responsible.

Here's a embarrassing story for you. I was checking out a chick walking up to the ATM at the bank and was not paying any attention to my driving. I was making my turn to exit out of the bank when I slammed into one of the lightpoles in the parking lot http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif. I wanted to cry... I tried to reverse it and the radiator fluid started to leak all over http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif. If I had a gun on me I would of ended my life right there lol.

only came close to hitting another car twice while learning to drive. One was at a stop sign. Some lady turned and cut me off. She didn't have her turn signal on anyway.

Second time was at night and raining. I was on my way to pick up my brother and I was going underneath a rail bridge. There was a stop light right on the other side and almost hit the car stopped at the light since the bridge was blocking my view of the light and the car I almost hit was in the dip under the rails.

I've nearly ended my driving exam after 200 meters. Some bloke came out of a parking lot without looking and the teach and me, we the brakes at same instant, the buzz came up, ups http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blush.gif.
