If you have a router in your home network, please make sure that you have the latest firmware installed for that device. Your router manufacturer should be able to help you complete this update.

- In addition, the following ports will need to be open in your router or any firewall software you may be running:

9103, 9100, 10196 (UDP outbound/inbound)
80, 3081, 3105 (TCP outbound)
22350 - 22380 (TCP inbound)

If you are unsure of how ports work, the best course of action may be to contact your router manufacturer, system administrator or ISP for more information.

"Inbound" is when a call comes into the router/gateway and "outbound" is when a call is placed or bridged from the router/gateway.

For example, port 80 will send data to Ubisoft servers and 22350 will recieve data from them.

Try disabling the Firewall and if you have a router, you can enable the DMZ option (which opens ALL ports, so I'd recommend to keep it disabled, but you can enable it for a few minutes and see if the problem is with your fw/router or with ubisoft servers)

Edit: What the... I was responding to "S.V" and he deleted his post or something, sorry for the double post http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The mere fact that ANY of us should have to open ports to play this game, fills me with indescribable rage.

my router doesn't show inbound/outbound.

I have port ranges (Port range forwarding tab)
internal & external ports(single port forwarding tab)

How do I enter them in. the port numbers with camas are confusing. I use a lynksys router.

If I do this, will the game work MP?

Could you be so kind and list all Trigger Ports and corresponding Incoming Ports? mizfitz wrote about outbound and inbound ports but I've got no idea how to match them...

9103, 9100, 10196 - do I have to mark them both for Trigger and Incoming Port?

Trigger - Incoming:
9103 - 9103
9100 - 9100
10196 - 10196

And this? Did I calculated it correctly?

Trigger - Incoming:

80 - 22350
3081 - 22350
3105 - 22350

Also when i input these ports it wouldnt allow me to connect the the ubi servers at all. I couldnt see my friends list or the extra content menue. im thinking about just destroying my mecaffee fire wall.

Are you guys serious? You're whinging because you have to open ports to play a game online? That's pretty much SOP these days... Unless you're stupid (or just don't careabout your network's security) and leave UPnP and DMZ enabled?

Opening ports didnt help. Enabling DMZ or UPnP didnt make any difference.

WRONG... opening ports in your Router (port forwarding) and in Firewall absolutely helps. In fact, if you DON'T have your ports open in Router and Firewall, you will never be able to play Splinter Cell Conviction multiplayer on-line successfully... it will be hit-n-miss, have bad lag and eventual crash.

I am finding players who assume they have opened ports (port forwarded) in Router, but in fact, have not. Here are a couple of tips on port forwarding:

1. find your router in this guide and follow instructions
http://www.pcwintech.com/port-forwarding-guides
2. download and install Simple Port Tester (its free) and verify if the Splinter Cell Conviction ports are open (use internal ip)
http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester

Splinter Cell Conviction ports:
9103, 9100, 10196 (UDP outbound/inbound)
80, 3081, 3105 (TCP outbound)
22350 - 22380 (TCP inbound)

Good luck.

Could someone please help, my box has the following menu when forwarding ports:

192.168.0.X _ Start Port _ Y _ End Port Z UPD/TCP/Both _ Enabled/Disabled
192.168.0.X etc etc

So how has it to look like, I dont know how the numbers from the OP fit in.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated

OK ive found the solution, but the game is automatically out of sync when starting the co-op, 1-2 secs after the video ends
