Ok in the GC walkthrough i see that there is alot of Assassin signs or wateva and you also see pictures and statues of them on the wall...i was just wondering why are the Templars having a Meeting Down there?? Give me your thoughts on this

it could be 1 of multiple things:
1. u were seeing things. there are not any assassin symbols, and so since its an unused area, makes it perfect to have a secret convo.
2. there are symbols, and they either think they are safe, or they just doin it down there for ****s and giggles to **** the assassins off.
These are my 2 favourite theories, but there is a high chance that i am completely off target. Hence y u dont shoot blindfolded

it's secluded and no one would know where they were to catch them since there were conspiring something that could get them in the gallows

While Ezio is entering the catacombs via what appears to be some kind of Assassin built entrance, I think that its safe to assume that the Templars are getting down there through another path that has fewer bottomless pits. They're probably unaware of all the interconnected tunnels and think it's safer than it really is.

Also if you want to read more about the Pazzi conspiracy that the Templars are discussing in the video, check out this link:

Not only the coffin, but when Ezio is climbing, right before he grabs a guard and throws him down, the statue on the wall is of an Assassin.
But how cool it would be if there was Altairís tomb in the game? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Maybe that's where he discovers the Codex?

They mention there's one compulsory catacomb level in the game, so maybe that's what it is.

Didn't see this mentioned but anyone else notice that the entrance to the secret catacombs the switch he pulls which has the assassins symbol which also has a skull, the skull the they way they made it in the game makes it seem to resemble the crystal skulls. Which they mentioned about in the first assassin's creed if you snooped the computers.

maybe we'll find a skull hahaha Indiana Jones style lolz http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Could be the Templars are down there investigating the Assassin's treasures. Could be they know Ezio will be looking for them and they're trying to catch him. Any number of reasons really. The skulls are quiet interesting. I have no ideas as to the connection between the Assassin's and the skull, besides the fact that it could simply mean 'grave' or 'burial grounds'. Also, the statues, coffin and body could be of any Assassin. As I recall they all look the same. Ezio, Altair, all the Masyaf assassin's and even Desmond have the trademark white hooded robe/hoodie.

The skulls i agree are quite interesting in this game, as i recall what they said about them in the first game is that they were being used to communicate between them over great distances telepathically. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I cant remember how many that were mentioned but I know they mentioned there was a limited amount.

I think Altair might've taken the Piece of Eden to his grave and that's what Ezio finds in the compulsory catacomb mission. Seems likely, though I'm not sure what for...

I think the 'final ultimate reward' you get for finishing all the dungeons has to be something the player can use. A special weapon our suit of armor (master assasin armor maybe).

Wrong. It's going to be a fortune cookie that says "May the Schwartz be with you".

Has anyone here played Hitman: Contracts? There's a part in the hotel mission (on the lower levels near a crime scene) where you see the brief apparition of a ghost. Do you think it would be cool to see a similar apparition of Altair in one of the catacombs (possibly through Eagle Vision, like a barely visible sillhouette similar to Al Mualim in the beginning of AC1 in the garden)?

Depends on where they go with it.

Putting Altair's ghost in just for the sake of it couldn't hurt the game, but I doubt I'd care much if it was only an Easter egg.

But on the other hand, if his ghost was a plot-essential character that Ezio has to talk to or interact with, that could really put a bad taste in peoples' mouths.

i think it would be cool if there would be little details like that throughout the cities refering to ac1. but i think you should have to use eagle vision, kind of like the detective mode from Batman AA...

You know, I actually imagined something like that. I imagined Ezio finding the Codex and him finding his spirit transported to what appeared to be the Masayaf Garden, all in that strange haze you see in eagle vision. Altair appeared to Ezio, explain this and that to him, and Ezio regain conciousness in his real body.

It would be very interesting.

The ghost in Contracts didn't play any role whatsoever other than looking cool. Hitman isn't about supernatural forces or anything, but it just adds a twist to reality. I was thinking that Ezio could enter his ancestor's catacomb and find it completely empty, then he uses Eagle Vision and sees a very faint figure of Altair walking through a wall or something (just for a split second) and Ezio finds a hidden switch there that leads to Altair's tomb. Or something like that, just to spice things up. Altair was spiritual, after all.

i could just imagine altairs ghost waving at ezio with a cheesy grin. i mean, he would have to be much more relaxed now hes dead right?

Assassins don't smile. Ever. The last time Altair smiled a puppy died and several people were injured. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

As one informer recalled:
"Several children have already died as a result" - Market Destruction Informer, Abul Nuquod mission, Damascus

Yes, but he wasn't an Assassin then. Later on in the game his mouth will be a fixed horizontal line and we will never see his eyes again. For your protection. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

The final reward is this: You go up to the last templar and you rip your shirt off and yell, ITALIAN SEXYNESS!!!! Ubi thought it was ultimate, because Ezio attracts both males and females, even ones that are straight..

what if the ghost type thing is like a natural animus? Altair knew the day would come so he just talked to himself a bit because the piece of eden showed him someone would be looking through his memories, so he prepared them and Ezio naturally saw them by being so close to his grave and activating the piece of Eden Altair brought with him to the gravehttp://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif that would be wicked
