I got it all hooked up and recognizing that its on my head, but when I hop in the cockpit my feild of view is anything but center. Im having trouble getting it centered, Ive tried moving the camera, the 3 point prong thingy and changing my chairs position, nothing seems to work, any idea on how I center this?

you should be able to configure a key for centering your track IR in the settings (look in "profile" section )

Is this your first track ir?

If yes, in my track ir (not the new one)in the menu when you lunch trackir before lunching il2 there in the menu, search for the button assign and there you supose to find a menu for assigning keys and one is for centering track ir.

I put it in a button of the throwtle so everytime i can recenter my view.

Default view-centring button is F12. F9 switches the unit off/on.

And ditto to Crazy Owl - use a key on the joystick if you have one to spare.

Well my problem is its all inverted. When I move my head up, my view goes down, when I turn left my feild of view goes right, etc and its not particularly centered well either even after pressing f12. I wonder if I have to adjust the camera, or my seat, because Ive tried clipping it to both ears and changing the position of the sensors on the headset and it doesnt help it at all.

Im using a headset and a trackclip pro but I am struggling to get this thing to track my head movement. How long did it take for you guys to get your TrackIR's centered?

I wish there was some key that would invert it then it would be closer to perfect.

This happened to me with TR4. I had to uncheck a setting somewhere in the software and viola! all worked as it should do. It took me a while to find the setting. I looked on the forums at the TR site. It wasn't obvious (at least not to me). Unfortunately I am at work right now. I will check my settings when I get home. Hope this helps. TrackIR is wonderful when you get it working.

They work for me. I don't use roll because it does not work reliably. Hope this helps.

For some reason it just started working correctly. I find I have to sit a bit up in my chair because I think if I sit too low the head thingy falls below the cameras feild of view, but other than that it works perfectly. Cool toy, but Im gonna have to get use to using it instead of the mouse to look around.

Just an observation..no one has mentioned it yet.
Opening the excellent tracking and head movement utilities supplied with the software will solve most incorrect head position situations. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif
