Here's an interview with George Lucas in today's SF Chronicle. He mentions that he's going to work on a Tuskegee Airman movie.

Ok, I'm curious to see what he would do with this. Personally, I think he should just produce, and let Spielberg direct it.

Yeah he's a big Warbird fan. I hope he does it justice. I believe the tentative name is Redtails.

Well if he does i'm sure they'll be filing @ Moton Field in Tuskegee. Which still looks as mucjh today as it did back 60 years ago. If they do i'll be a regular vistor to the set. Given that my company is the largest supplier of Aviator Oxygen in Central Alabama. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Sounds good, http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif let's hope they do it right.
And hopefully we'll get more frequent progress updates than seem to be coming from the "Dambuster's" camp. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/disagree.gif

I have been hearing about this project from him since the late 80's so don't hold your breath.

That's a big hope, considering how disappointing his last three Star Wars movies were.

I hope I'm surprised by this work if infact it happens.

He ruined Star Wars for me so I hope he doesn't write the dialog. He can shoot the piece but please keep him away from the dialog!

My 2 cents!
