Hi !

I just wonder how you can drop bombs with BF while flying level or in a shallow dive /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

Following my AI-leader I had to handle the following situation:
Leader: "Attention, 1 minute to target"
Me: staying on course, 200m on the right
..seconds later, still flying straight....
Leader: "Bombs dropped"
..
Leader: "Target hit"

How the .... did he do this ?!
Argh ... the AI was dropping bomb nearly from level flight !!
Grrrr..

Anyway, the question to the profi-BF-pilots: how can you drop bombs accurately without getting to low ?!
Personally I hit tanks when I fly low-level over the tanks (alt <200m, mostly <100m). But the BF is not an IL-2, so flying low over the enemy is very dangerous.

hi,
I did this in the Il2 Il2 campaign, it works best against truck columns, but I think it can be aplied to the 109...:flying at 100-150m, push F8(if you hve externals on) and with the mouse aim to your plane nose at aprox 25-30 dergrees angle.
If you fly at about 320-330km/h, th bombs will drop ath the point your nose was when you pushed the release button.(from level flight.
In a dive, at ~45 deg, aim (from inside the cockpit) a little behind the target between you and the target and release.
Ai has some strange aiming methods.
They wil say "target distroyed even if they miss, or hit a target that was previously destroyed.
Practice in QMB, and find the best combination you like.

A 'good' landing is one from which you can walk away. A 'great'
landing is one after which they can use the plane again<center>

When bombing in a 109, I always get to 50-100 m, preferably 50m, at 450-500km/h, being 500kph too fast for my liking.
The leader yels at me from the radio, but I don't care, the sound doesn't work anyways /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
At this alt and speed, when the target is in the dimmer(dimmer rectracted) you drop the bomb. In a dive, the best way to bomb with a SC250 ou SC500, aim a litle behind your target and recover at ~200m
