I downloaded the profile pack from this topic (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/23110283/m/2071005635), but I can't make it work. Could somebody please post some detailed instructions? I just got the stick, so everything's new to me.

Did you right-click on the x52 icon in your taskbar, and select the profile? I had a hard time with some of the other profiles, so I just spent the time and made my own. It's well worth the time you put into it. You are already used to certain keys and buttons, so just make that setup work for your own profile.

I did click the icon and I can see the folder, but there aren't any profiles to choose from.

1st did you unzip it? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

2nd put it in the right folder ...\saitek\software

Check and check. I put the folder in the Software-folder, and I can see it in the program, but not the profiles.

I noticed that the profiles the program can read are in DAT-format, and the files I'm trying to use are in Pro, so could that affect the process?

There should be both a .dat file and a .pr0 file.

So the problem's the file I downloaded. Anybody know where I could get a decent profile, just so I could test my new stick?

Dude, in the hour and a half you've been waiting for answers here, you could have had a perfect profile made up just the way you want.

The software doesn't bite http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Just get to it, soldier!

I have an X-45 and a really good profile, however it likely won't work with your X-52Pro but the program should work the same way. For every key you have assigned on the keyboard that key should be assigned in the profiler to a button on the stick. The Axis should be assigned under HOTAS in your controls Throttle, Ailerons, Rudder, Etc. I imagine in your profiler like in mine there is a 3D view (a pic of your stick) and when you press a button the one in the pic lights up and the list shows the corresponding data entry after you assign a button hit the save icon on the taskbar in the profiler this of coarse after you have created a file 'save as' say IL21946 then as you are creating your profile you hit the save icon and so on. I haven't seen the X52 profiler but I'm guessing that it is similar to the X45

I've tried, but I can't even get the damn thing fire the cannons. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Even if you load a profile, you have to go into the 'controls' section of the game and setup your keys to match what is in the profile. It will take you some time to reconfigure it all to match the downloaded profile.

It's easier to just do it yourself. Look in the manual. It walks you thru it.

Have a read through this thread:

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/26310365/m/8521039564/p/1

It's mostly about non-pro version but there is some stuff for the pro and some links you could try.
