Would it be possible to limit the maximum number of guns firing from a single ship at the same time? In addition to the delay feature we have now it would make the game smoother without losing immersion. It is a problem - especially with the Japanese carriers that they fire all their guns simultaneously & then hold fire for the set delay time. This huge salvo still causes stutters online even if it only happens once every 10-20 seconds. If we had a "ShipMaxGun=x"-feature this could be controlled better to improve performance.

Thinking of it: Second best solution would be the ability to make a ship not fire at all & then be protected by ships with less firepower. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

You mean the "Sleep"-function? How can you set it to infinite? But wouldn't the restriction be a better solution?

He's probably talking about ROF function.
Set it to 100 and it'll be really slow if at all.

Sleep time can be set to very high numbers by editing the mission in Notepad.

Yes - then the ship will fire one salvo & then pause for 100 time units - but this salvo will slow down the game & we'll lose some immersion.
I still think a restriction on the ships AAA would be great because they would continue to fire all the time (set) but with less lead in the air.

Plumps, I did try to open my missions with Notepad but failed to recognize the right place to edit - each object is followed by numbers but which are the sleep time?
