Let's discuss it.
I think that it is interesting movie for those, who like the history of aviation. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I saw it. It was ok for a Saturday afternoon, nothing happening kind of day. Lot's of historical inacuracies, but that's par for the course for this kind of movie.

One of the lamest movies ever created... Love the era and love the premise but the movie blew. Terrible acting terrible dialog and I didn't care about any of the people or the story.

Some of the most lame attempts trying to pull on the heart strings fell short.

Action scenes where cool looking but it was silly most of the time.

I looked at it in a different light on how painful it must be to get riddle with rounds of ammo if you dont die right away, so I thought it was erie in a way.

I dont know if shooting your self in the head during a plane fire or that a pilot actually shot an enemy with a pistol actually happened. Or that someone could hammerhead/Immelman into a Zepplin. Planes bombing and Zepplins were useless in WW1 IMO and they overrated it in a movie as opposed to strafifng. Landing in no-mans land with a plane and survivng is remarkable. The storyline was a triffle hoky especially the spy sega and wondering if commanders was ever that compassonate as that very freindy Frenchman was.

I didn't see much closure for the movie except for the killing of the main dude thus the the movie lacked a good historical perspective.

I dunno, I rather liked it. Some scenes were pretty neat (the dogfighting, obviously), some were rather boring (Why must every war movie have frickin' love scenes!?), and some were just plain silly (like Beagle's rescue). On the whole though, I'd definitely rate it above Pearl Harbor. A couple (okay, maybe alot) of inaccuracies, but I'd still watch it.

I saw it,and to a large extent it was just the same old Hollywood 'boy meets girl' plot, just happens to be set in WW1.
The flying scenes were worth watching, the filler c**p slowed it down.
Overall,I guess it was worth watching,but,I wasn't "blown away".Score(0-10):5

Was terrible, didn't you notice how badly the planes moved?......Was like some choppy Thunderbirds puppet planes.....Also predictable... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

I liked the part were the guy put goggles and a scarf on his beagle and then taught his beagle how to fly the plane and the beagle actually got a few hits in on the Germance Ace flying the red plane before heading back to base.

I hated it, sorry. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif

I particularly disliked the Playstation2 inspired mission briefings and the incredibly shallow depiction of WW1 aerial combat. The characters were poorly conceived and badly acted. While the flight scenes were all on arcade settings (and the revolver-to-the-head scene at the end, Bleh!).

All that being said though, it wasn't as bad as Pearl Harbour, which practically urinates over Americas war dead. God, I'm not even an American, and even I found that one virtually treasonous. Grrr!

I thought all it needed was a proper story.

If they had used the same actors, style of fight sequences but given it an unexpected plot twisting story line (something like 'The Blue Max' or 'Aces High' where you dont know what will happen next and keeps you gripped) then it could have been a good film.

The story writer should be shot. Whoever decided to spend millions of pounds on a film with a story like that should never work in films again and put to work writing childrens war comic books.

Hopefully 'The Red BAron' will be much better. It shows promise as it has Joseph Fiennes in it and I have never seen him accept a bad film.

As to the movie "The Red Baron" I heard it was awful.

On imdb a few people posted on the movies forum that they saw a test-screening and it was a mess http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Particularly the dogfights, although they were not completely finished, were a bit on the cartoony sideHere is the thread (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365675/board/nest/71001082)

I used to have a thunderbird puppet in 1966 and it got all tangled and ended up in the garbage, Gawd what a mistake. You cant find an original anywere today for less than $200 if that low even..
