well it shows that some people have very low expectations for a standalone flight sim. I could understand if it was for "Best halfhearted Expansion of 2004"

Pacific Fighters as a standalone is not that great a sim. But then, the competition in that vote doesn't look to be that great!!

Going up against X-Plane shows that those who didn't want the learning curve bought PF. I think PF is a good sim, but it is nothing without FB/AEP which I found out after two weeks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
But afterall what do you expect when the compitition based Flight Simulation VS Fight simulation, two totally different simulators.

Thats realy great, to be only one in the race and win all medals. Lack of competition has produced poor PF addon, neverending wait for the things shown on the box while lying about third disc, talk about so many planes while most of tham are numerous variants of the same AC, ugly cockpits on most AC, specialy the most important ones, absence of ANY AT ALL quality mods for game with some funy explanations why is that so, spreading of feble minded misticism concerning texturing of cockpits, same misticism about QMB while at the same time Uberdemon shows how smartly things can be treated and produced. Stories about diseases and sick people in 1c (i hope everyone will be alive and healthy, numerous stories about sickness got me pritty scared for 1c i even thought that you should hire a doctor and not a programer, so that people can be constantly monitored, and bring semples every day for analises) and ofcourse religious and uncoditional love for this game by some members of comunity (there is no progress with bow down altitude mixed with brownnosing).
Anyway il2/fb/aep/pf and BF1942 are the only games i play, so thank you for producing this wonderfull product, and congratulations on best sim title. Others havent even qualified for the race.

As soon a BoB comes the whining will stop. Everyone will have a heart attack from shear when they first run it.

What is FB/AEP? Are something I have to buy? ...and how do they relate to PF?

Forgotten Battles(FB) is the base game.Ace Expansion Pack(AEP) is a pay addon to the pay Forgotten Battles game.

Pacific Fighters(PF) can be installed in 2 ways.As a standalone game(Pacific stuff only). Or as an addon to the FB/AEP combo. With the merged install you get all the planes and maps and stuff from the first two as well as the Pacific stuff.

I don`t think so Tim!!!

BoB will be alot of eye-candy and no more. After 2 weeks(Ha-Ha) most people will be bored with the limited plane set.

Hmmm, BoB in 1940. price- 50 Euro
1941 addon- 30 Euro
1942 addon- 30 Euro
1943 to 1945 addons- 30 Euro each!!
New and improved PF addon /stand alone for BoB- another 50 Euro.

I think I will pass on this one.

I think its silly to pass on something cause the addons will cost alot that you dont have to buy. And they are spread out so its not like your spending all that money all at once. AND itll be better than any of the other wwii sims out there (except for mabye this one but its getting really dated).

We'll have to see about that! Hope your right I reaally truly Do! but after charging out and running around like a maniac to pick up PF only to find it was missing a great deal of what I had come to expect from Oleg and company think I'll sit back and watch the reviews and forum for a bit!
Jus' Hope Oleg learned something about greedy western manufacture's...Spitfire and Hurricane Oleg not Supermarine Spitfire or Hawker Hurricane.

welly, MSFS20004 was a addon for MSFS2002 and PF was an addon for FB. Therefor, My vote is that there was no "new" flight sims in 2004! PF wa a better addon because who wants to fly the Wright Flyer, LOL.

A typical comment from someone who obviously has no idea how to fly in real life http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
As a matter of fact the DC3 and Wright Flyer were the reasons I bought FS9!
A comment like that means that you obviously have not enough knowledge of aerodynamics to be able to fly the Wright Bros. masterpiece. It is a fun aircraft to fly once you learn how it flies.
But it is obvious that your a "gamer" not a "simmer"

Very true... could also be listed as "Sim with the most Unrealized Potential"
