Hi!

Does anybody know which Japanese carrier is portrayed in the first level of FarCry? Superstructure is pretty intact, so gurus should easily recognize it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm not sure its modelled exactly, but if I had to guess what Japanese carrier it was based on, I would probably go with the Ryujo (not sure on spelling). Maybe Zuiho/Shoho as well.

It's got one of those jet wash deflectors raised on the flight deck, I'm pretty sure that's not from the 1940s which probably means it's a made up wreck.

This is not an in-game image!! It is drawn by hand, not by game engine.

Real "FarCry carrier" is broken into two pieces, and does not have any "jet deflectors" as far as I remember.

Seeing as how the Island is on the Port side the ship its either modelled after the Hiryu or the Akagi. Its not a CVE because the Japanese didn't field those only a few seaplane tenders everything else was a CV for them really.

My money's on a Hiryu design. It's too small to be based on Akagi.

It's smaller than the real thing. But it looks like an Akagi with its battlecruiser hull and high carrier flight deck.
