She flew into Vancouver and I was all over her like a rash. As requested, here are some pics.

And my favourite.

My then-girlfriend, now-wife took that last shot and I actually have it enlarged, framed and hanging in my entrance way. Everyone comments.

Wow. That cockpit sure is different from the one we have in FB. It seems that somebody must have got fed up with not being able to see anything at eyelevel other than gauges.
I sat in the pilot's seat of one of the two '111's that came to the UK for the BoB film. Shame to think that they're gone.

What kind of engines are those? They don't look like the ones on the orginal He-111.

the cockpit looks different, also, in the game all the gauges and stuff are near the top so the pilot has an unobstructed field of view forward and down . . here the panel seems to be in a standard position.

Better forward view than a FW190????

Cool pics, thanks. There's a static display of warbirds at my local airport today. I'm at work though and will miss it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

However I did watch a Lancaster fly right overhead nice and low. Then it banked for the landing. Tooooooo sweeeeeeet! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Hi Dubbo !

Thanks for the pics, they're nice. Very sad about the acident.../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I have a video tape that shows the entire history of this HE 111. Have seein't many times .There's a story about a General named Franco that was transported at this plane fron Spain .
This plane also had a participation at the movie "Battle of England"

There are so few airbirds here in Brazil..../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif I have only seen the Spitfire /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Here are two more. At the time, as seen on the side of the intake, it seems she was in BoB, Piece of Cake and on the Discovery channel

Modified cockpit into two-crew operations with the throttle console in the middle and added yoke and pedals for the co-pilot and ofcourse new instruments vital for operating now-a-day, but it was a beautiful example..

Just too sad.

also Aflak wrote something similar

my computer won't download the bottom of this thread so i may well be giving this answer for a second time - but sorry i can't see if anyone already has!

most flyable 'He111' are spanish built ( like the buchon 109) and like the buchon 109 they contain Merlin engines - meaning that unfortunetly they only look really like 111's from above angles. i think their correct desgination are CASA C2111.
