View Full Version : Your 2 cents

Dear fellow maniacs!

In this thread: http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/63110913/m/7791057034/p/2
Oleg has now himself declared that the third of the upcoming addons ('46) will contain mid to end 眉ber-kites build in Russia and Germany at the time.

And we all know that at least us crazy jerrys produced an incredible number of "saving our *** wonder weapons" from 43 to the very end.

Oleg stated also, that only TWO of the new A门揋NP (All 门揵er Gods Own Nightmare Planeset) have been released in any previous flight sim products.

So give Oleg your 2 cents!

What planes do you wanna see?
What do you expect?
And, as it will be the last official addon by Maddox, what do you hope of those last planes that will reach our desktops?

My 2 cents worth is, this sim hardly needs more flyable planes but....

....if we are gonna get more planes, I'd rather see some of the remaining gaps filled, of planes that actually saw a worthwhile amount of wartime service IRL.

I know that's not what you were getting at with your question, but I'm not interested in the 'other stuff'.

Best regards,

I don't think thats what he meant...BUT...if I were to ask for two aircraft to be added to the sim to make my personal interests complete...THEN...they would be:

1) Typhoon Mark IB 1943 or 1944 (bubble or canopy) with rocket and bomb loadouts

2) Spitfire Mark XIV

If we were limited strictly to German aircraft for instance than I would request:

1) Me-410
2) Hs-129

If we were limited to strictly VVS aircraft then I would ask for:

1) Yak-4?
2) P-63A?

The VVS is well filled out..and with the IL-10 and Pe-2 inbound my last gripes about that planeset are permanently laid to rest.

Oh wait, that was a 44 plane that would own those 46 jobs that is not included in the game.. Oh sure we have 3 early versions to choose from, but not the best version that actully saw combat.. lots of it.. before wars end.

But.. if I must play the WHAT IF GAME, and I wanted to limit my choices to planes that actually stood a change of making it into 1946 in that they were more than some scribbled drawing on the back of a napkin in that they made their way to an actual blue print and an actual prototype than I would have to go with the following

The F4U-4 was first flown on 20 September 1944 and was accepted by the US Navy during October of 1944. First used by the US Marines, The F4U-4 entered combat in April 1945.

So, it served in action for about the last four months of the Pacific War, apparently.

The Spitfire MkIX +25lbs boost is a late 1944 version and can more than hold its own - actually on full planeset servers you dont see anything other than those 25 pounders...

I'd rather have some more useful planes added in such as

-Do17/217
-Ju188/388 (bomber and destroyer versions)
-Me410
-some torpedo planes for the IJN/USN (B5N, B6N, Avenger)
-A20C (that one we will fortunately get - no more 43 bombers on 41 online war maps http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif)
-Bf110C4(/B)
-Spitfire Mk.I
-Hawk75A3/4
-Ju52/C47/Li2 with some transport plane campaigns http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Since i proppably havent flown half of the planes that we allredy have on a regular basis i see no point in wishing for new ones....other than as a novelty.

We are a month or so into the last pach and allredy we are back to old tracks, same planes as usuall. Exept for the wonder Spit that is, wich litter DF servers nowdays.

What i would like though is a Mossie that isnt fragile as glass and is faster than i old man in a wheelchair......same goes for Tempest. Its kind of strange that thoose 2 British ac are so much alike in FM and Dm in this game....coincedent?

What i do find amazing is how they can so royaly sc**w up such fine and well renowned airplanes.

Is it because they would be just TO good if modeled correctly?

No rant...just courious, am i the only one thinking what a huge dissepointment thoose ac are?

i fly LW 95% of the time so its not a "fix my petplane or else" thing. I just think "either u do them right ( any ac ) or u dont do them at all" despite of what "Give me, Give me" - pople says.

On the other hand i could be completly wrong in my observasions http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Well looking at the prodject as a whole....
it would only be right & fair that the Dev Team include at least ONE 46 plane from all sides.
Since we KNOW that there will be a number of 46 planes for Russuia & Germany...at LEAST one good 46 plane for the IJA & USAF each would round it out nicley. I'd back Badsights wetdream plane (hehehe) so long as they include ONE USAAF 46 plane. in all fairness to all factions. I wonder what condition Gibbages Flying Flapjack model is in?
But serously i think we're beating a broken broom onthe wrong doorstep here. From what i'm hearing guys this thing is already in the can....or at least pretty damn near it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
