If you, like the many that have posted here, have just installed your game (or are considering purchasing it). You will quickly find out that this is a piece of unfinished garbage that you have paid $40 for the ability to beta test for the publisher.

Scam...yes, Unethical...yes, taken advantage of...yes. Well you will also see on this board that there is alot of DENIAL going on. Why, because it hurts to wait so long for a game you have really been looking forward to, only to be very let down..so all some can do is see a rose when it is really poison ivey.

Do yourself a favor, and teach this publisher (and the industry)a lesson....return the product as defective.

Until we can hit the company in the pockebook for putting out this type of unfinished garbage then it will continue.

Stand up for your right as a consumer to be treated with respect.

Please make this your last post on the subject. I beleive that you have made your point and voiced your complaints adequatly if not more so. Thank you

Well the game is no longer $39.99, its $29.99 here in my local Game Stop. Reason? Probably because its unfinished game with lots of bugs.

It defenetly is not high budget game because its made in Romania a 3rd world country.

For SH3 You need very fast and new computer, higher than 2.0 gig processor is must and $500 video card and $500 memory cards with 800mhz speed of the memory.

Blades, if you are CHEAP and don't have fast computer please don't be a troll here on this forum!

I have no problems with the game, exept multiplayer bug.

Cheap entertainment if you ask me.

I guess you were looking for some billion dollar military submarine simulator, that your $40 bucks entitles you to. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

BTW, were you the one in HL2 forum saying the same thing? Oh, and how about the farcry forum, or maybe it was the PF forums, was that you there too? Just wondering.

My two year old Ti 4400 runs this game smoothly and didn't cost more than 200" and computers don't have memory cards. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Other than that, kick the thread opener. Generic spammer. Think of something new.

Mine seems to be working fine. My comps 3 years old, has a really cheap graphics card. Yes there are a few bugs, but nothing that any respectable retailer would accept as faulty and they certainly don't ruin the gaming experience. Tip: system requirements are printed on the box, you will know what you will need to play it so don't buy it if it won't work, simple.

This was the best 18 I ever spent. Bit annoying though, cos I have a project deadline in a week! I want to play this game more!

And a fair share of repeated whining.

Sure some people have problems. Most are issues with thier computer and not specifically SHIII.

Computer games played on computers have always required a bit of computer savvy.

Lack the skills, foresight, or funds to correct problems with your machine and keep it current and functional?

Then stick with your Nintendo.......

How many times do you want to post about your same sh*tty complains again and again? One time - fine, this is called spam.

Besides that, if you would quit whining like a little kid and give us the chance to help you by posting dx-diag and system specifications, maybe you could do all of us a vavour?

I repair and configure a lot of computers and to my experience if a game doesn't run, it's 99,9% user fault. Infact I had not a single game that didn't run on any machine. Maybe instead of crying here, you should use the time to either get your PC to work? You're not really telling us that SH3 is the only program that causes trouble on your PC, are you? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

This thread is funny. It is not anyone's fault the game wont run for you but your own...Not only are Geforce 4 mx card not DirectX 9 compliant, they aren't even directX 8 compliant! I feel for ya buddy, but you shoulda done some research. You can't blame UBI for the fact that you only have a DirectX 7 compliant card.

Here is an old review from back in the DirectX 8 days:

http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1241&page=11

The two rellevant excerpts are here

"Even though the Prolink PixelView GeForce4 MX440-8X is a DirectX 7 part it's still pretty **** fast, at least that's what the benchmarks seem to point towards.

Still, if you're contemplating purchasing a new videocard, I would have to suggest that you stay away from older generation cards which are not at least DirectX 8 compliant. There are just too many games coming out that take advantage of vertex and pixel shaders which is something all GeForce4 MX's don't have."

AND

"Overall, the Prolink PixelView GeForce4 MX440-8X is a good videocard. If we reviewed it maybe six months ago it would have won an award. Unfortunately though, if you're going to be purchasing a new videocard now, you really should get something that is DirectX 8 compliant so you have a videocard that's a bit more future proof. That is, if you can afford the extra investment."

It is easy to stop this guy ourselves.
Simply stop replying to his threads. The volume of this board would have his posts off the front page in no time.
Yes, I am myself bumping this thread, but it is at the top at the moment and I ahve seen this guys threads stay there for days because of people telling him he is wrong.
I got to admit, I could see a guy getting a kick out of seeing people reacting to a post he does every day or two, and gets a reaction every time.
lol

I feel for those who are having major problems with this game. I for one have only experienced bugs which I expect to be fixed, but don't detract from my enjoyment of the game. Yes, I would like to see a greater level of completion in the software I buy, but I don't intend to return this game.
