Hey everyone, I have been looking for a new sim to get into other than NR2003. Although racing is my favorite - I'm looking for something different and challenging and stumbled across this site. What are your thoughts on this game and is it more on the sim site of things?

Finest WWII simulation ever, IMO.

Go and snag the IL-2 demo from the site and give it a spin. Well worth it.

Hi Scruff,

This flight sim is one of the best there has ever been, and you can tone it down to make it as easy as you like.
I recommend it.

Another upcoming sim to keep your eye on is here:

http://www.lo-mac.com/index.php

It looks awesome!

Please, please treat yourself by downloading the E3 video footage of the sim (17.9MB)

You'll then see why I am so excited about it. (Looks like it will be quite demanding on the old graghics card though)

BobTuck.

Thanks for the quick responce. Thats is all great info including the air racing. Not sure how that works but I would think that turning left would be the same in the air as on the track http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I guess I'm off to pick this up... now I gotta start searching for a beginners league.

There is no beginners league..just come to Hyperlobby at http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz/ DL that get the sim and get online... after some offline practice of course... The learning curve is steep but well worth it.

Consider flying with us. Check www.jg51.com (http://www.jg51.com) for details. If you're serious about flight-simming as opposed to arcarde games, then full-realism is the way to go.

Welcome to what is quite an obsession for some. You will notice that joining this band of brothers will give you a lot of laughs, and initially some frustration as it does have a big learning curve if you go "full real" or online. Offline you set the hardness and have equally as much fun (pretty equally divided community for on/offline).

The best thing is the people around here are really helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Catch up with the jargon on the unofficial FAQ link and get flying!

It's not as good a sim as NR2003, but it's pretty good.
