Being 52 and disabled from Multiple sclerosis, I have no life and no patience. So where is this patch that we told that they were testing three weeks ago. Come on.

Age, and or medical condition in no way guarantees (nor should it), some sort of dispensation for impatience. We'll get it when its ready and not before. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Toomuchcheese, that's rude. Age may not exempt a person from the rules of etiquette, but it should receive respect. You should simply have noted that the patch will be released in two weeks and left it at that.

old1953man represents the many polite, realistic, adult customers in the community who likely don't waste much time trolling in here, but realize just like the rest of us what it's like to have our chain jerked.

I took my car in for repairs today, and they told me I could pick it up sometime after 3:00. If I went to pick it up and it wasn't ready for a few weeks, I'd be a victim of the same type of thing that happens here.

There are many of us sick/disabled with no life, that look forward to the new patch. I don't mmean that we all don't have lives, but I also do not....(due to very bad health) and understand how the thread originator feels. If you don't like his thread. move along...

Where exactly was I rude??? I am somewhat getting on in years myself, that doesn't mean I will rudely stamp my feet and demand the patch NOW! like some spoilt kindergarten kiddie, which a LOT of you are acting like(not Oldman). http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Grow up.
I think Oldman is yanking chains anyway... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
BTW I don't call THAT rude either http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I doubt you wouldn't mind, if the repairs were completely free, the repairs would also include a complete rework of your chassis, your suspension and engine.

I'm looking forward to this patch, too, but hey, it's not like PF is not playable, nor will 4.00 change your life forever. So, why don't you just calm down and look forward for a free present, coming in less than 3 weeks?

Funny LoneRanger, the repairs I was getting today just happened to be free. It was somewhat of a recall or "patch" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That said, if I took my car in to get core components fixed and ended up having to wait a few weeks while they reworked (reborked?) the chassis suspension and engine, I'd be pretty peeved. Even if the car were better off at the end of the two weeks, it's the frustration of being told one thing and getting another that bites.

Well, I'm still convinced if you bought your Pf for a few thousand bucks, the support would be much, much better http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Patience must not be a virtue, but a commodity, huh? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif After all gents, it is classified as a free add-on, not a 'patch'. I was never one to demand when my free product was to be hand delivered to my doorstep. Maybe, we should accept waiting as some form of payment, since nothing in this world is actually FREE except bad advice. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

If my car was half finished when I bought it you can bet I would be impatient to get what I paid for originally. I for one, would never buy another 1C/Ubi product including BOB until and unless I was fully satisfied with the current product, WHICH I AM NOT!

Yeah, but I can't even get a pair of hubcaps for my kid's car for $40. I figure I got my money's worth out of PF.

Wow - you mean to say your game "half-way" works? When loading missions, does it stop @ 50% or somethin'? You've got a full product dds - hence the term "add-on". That suggests that your product is "expanding". Again, this isn't 'officially' a patch.

If this sim means as much to you as your car then there are bigger issues at hand. To compare a patch for $40 piece of software with a repair on your car..... I just dont see it.

And oldman... Im feelin ya.. I want the thing too.. but i can almost gaurantee that whe you get it you will be pleased... just from the past rep of 1C. Guys for all we know they are waiting to finish some legal issues as ar as AC go... I dont know.. but none of us do.. but the complaini g wont get it here quicker... thats for sure.

i just repeat myself here. The mystake was the public announcement of the patch. They should keep that information until is ready for relese.Look how much this thing means to some people.Free or not. This delay is rude and cruel
if you really understand guys in oldman situation.Yes, you healthy ones..there are sim
lovers wich maybe the only way to find some joy
is in front of the monitor.Imagination is their
world now.So go ahead and make fun of them, you tell them what should they feel and do meanwhile
Teach them how brownnosing can lift their spirits. If you read the last update ,it saying
that the testing starts on march 21.Are we talking about two weeks from that day? Ok, not counting weekends it bring us to 12 working days passed already..so two more days..good news for the oldman. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
