Probably been told here many times, but atleast now they are in one thread. And feel free to add up more things if you feel like it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

1) After loading the torpedo speed is still reseted to slow.

2) After surfacing the watch officer doesn´t go back to his station.

3) The most annoying of the lot, when you ask your deck officer for nearest contact he sometimes doesn´t report it, and when does only half of the report show up in info screen. Driving you mad while in hurry to tap the contact report many times to get the full report. Same happens when you change course.

4) There really should be a way to manually enter your new heading. Its utter pain trying to get on right course with bearing dial.

These are the most annoying things still left 1.4b, well atleast to me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hmm, have you ever tried plotting course on the navigation map using the triangular ruler ?

5) MUCH LESS of those annoying one week long heavy fog and storms !!!!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

6) Navigator - when asking about weather - sometimes says precipitations none, but there's heavy raining out there .

7) Reportint unknown sonar and hydrophone signals .

8) Saved game info still shows 0 sinking .

The worst of all:

THE TERRIBLE, HORRIFYING, BLOOD CURDLING SCREECH! O_O

It makes some of us **** our pants now and then _, not to mention making ports completely unusuable.

Does anyone know if removing the subnet sounds is a workaround for the bug? Nobody's answering me in the screech topic.

"Hmm, have you ever tried plotting course on the navigation map using the triangular ruler ?"

Ill give that a try, but still manually entering bearing would be faster in my mind. Thanks for the tip anyway http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I haven´t had much bad weather with 1.4b but then again its only my 3 patrol.

Keep em coming, mayby devs feel needle in their heart and fix these minor ones before expansion http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've heard that noise only once in Scapa, when loading a saved game, but i almost jumped out of the window .http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
It's not a wish, to fix, it HAS to be fixed, no doubt ... I'm sure it will be !
A don't know about any fixes of it, probably try not to save the game when you're in a port .

I think there should be much more types of cargo ships, not only the C2, C3, and later the Victory and Liberty types (Small and Coastal merchants are a wastage of torpedoes imho) .

And one more.... when you're using the deckgun and need to check the range to target by either the UZO or periscope, keep the range your're at so you don't have to reset it everytime. It's a royal pain.

Hmm, maybe the radioman could place the disks randomly on the gramophone, i have about 40 music files from 30's and 40's in the gramophone directory, but i've never heard the ones after the 10th http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The FUMO-30 Radar antenna is still (since 1.0) glued to the front of the conning tower. (and the upper part is even stuck into it)

It looks rediculous http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It should look like this :

Look here (http://www.msichicago.org/exhibit/U505/exhibit/f_subworks/06_electronic.html)

It was spinning around 360 degrees and was retracted into the conning tower at a dive.

Pfft. I dunno. They had plenty of time to fix it for 1.4b but they didn't. It's not like there weren't some topics about it.

A don't know about any fixes of it, probably try not to save the game when you're in a port .

Don't worry, I don't even go NEAR ports anymore <_<

And I took the subnet collision noises out of the folder.

*sigh* I reckon that's me scarred for life now as far as SH3 is concerned... even if the bug is fixed I'll still be on edge going into Scapa Flow http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Not sure if this is because of RBu 1.41 but here it is.

9) If you lock a target, get range etc and go mark em into map and move back to uzo/periscope the target isn´t locked anymore. Most frustrating when your trying to get speed and bearing of convoy using wazoos manual targetting. After returning to uzo/periscope I had real trouble finding the same ship I had just taken bearing and range (ofcourse middle of night http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )

As solution I have began to mark bearings and ranges on papper.

Try to sneak into some less guarded ports, and save the game when you're far away from the port .

Don't be a pessimist, they will fix it, sooner or later you'll be able to blow some fat things in Scapa http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I had that problem. Now I just ask my WO the range and he tells me. Be prepaired to ask him twice though because of a bug already meantioned above.

Anyway here is a small bug that bugs me non-the-less

Whenever you break a C2's back, your external camera centers behind the target from then on for the rest of the patrol. (or if you save and exit)

*slumps into disturbed Vietnam-Vet-like depression*

Lüth I... I just can't do it anymore... go on without me man! I'll just slow you down! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

... hey! you're not supposed to really go on without me! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I think... tomorrow I might try the Scapa Flow mission... with my speakers DOWN and my hand hovering right over the volume buttons (pressing both of which at the same time turns them off... not quite as handy as an off switch, but meh).

WO going to his station on the bridge after surfacing would be nice.

Fixing the WO info so that his whole line displays.

I love the new "Hydrophone guy" in patch 1.4b with how vocal he is ....but...I still wish I could pick a contact for him to follow. Sometimes I don't want the closest.

Just little things that would be a nice.

Exactly the thing I was driving for. With a big convoy the same contact isn´t the closest one after 3min 15secs. Really could use one more option with deck officer, something like "give range/bearing of my target"..

I would like shortcut keys to toggle the gramophone on/off, the gramophone should turn off when rigged for silent running, and I'd like the gramophone to turn off and the "Stalker" music to play when I'm bearing down on a ship.

Thanks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not seen anyone mention this on the forums yet, but I have experienced this bug in every version of the game:

If I quit the game after a patrol, I like to award all my crew's medals and promotions, check for new U-boat upgrades and choose my preferred torpedoes for the next patrol.

The problem is that, when I next launch the game and load my last save point ('In base before mission'), all my torpedoes revert to the default load-out.
http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

That's gotta be a simple one for the devs to fix.

I guess this is more of an improvement than a fix:

The game should allow players to choose their preferred deck/flak gun ammunition load-out before a mission. I would prefer more AP/HE and have no star shells (I never use them) and at least 50% less flak ammo. I have never come close to running out of flak ammo, even with a lot of AA activity on patrol.

If WWII U-boat captains could choose their torpedo load-out (could they?), then surely they could have had a say in the balance of deck/flak gun ammo?

Does anyone know how much of each ammunition type U-boats actually carried?

That's gotta be a simple one for the devs to fix.

Two solutions.

Solution one, be sure to changing your torpedo loadout is the LAST thing you do before you click on new mission.

Solution Two, get the tweak pack and change the default loadout for that sub type and year to what you want. (That is what I did.)

That screech has got to go, its really getting to poor S VIIC_41. lol, I know what your going through, it is absolutely terrifying. It seems to play 30* louder than all other sound in the game, and when it does play im too paralysed by fear to even turn my volume down. I normally just throw my mouse in the air and knock my glass over.

The bearing thing mentioned above I agree with. Sometimes you want to change course quickly, but its too hard on that little dial.

I'd also like to see Bristols harbour actually be in Bristol, its on the wrong side of the river. Granted, its not vital, but this is a minor fix Id like to see changed.

Thanks for the suggestions lecek http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. Would you mind reminding me what the full name of the "tweak pack" is and where can I find it? I've seen it before but can't remember which mod site it is on.

I'd certainly like that gee golly whoper snatch wizzzzzzzzzarrrrwhoshhhh sound that comes on when you load a mission and darn http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif near blasts my speakers open, fixed. I'm expriencing it about 1 out of 5 to 1 out of 8 loads and it sure as hell is annoying. For those or you trying to perform exact manual course corrections without using the waypoint cursor, I sometimes use the periscope find either the direction I want to go or locate the exact bearing I want to go and press the = key. It sets the heading of the boat to the bearing on the periscope. So if you're heading 000, and you want to be heading 020, but doubt your crappy degree dial, go to the periscope and rotate to 020 and press =. Works like a charm. That is all.

Spray bug for owners of ATI Radeon 9200SE cards must go (I can't be the only one having this problem?).
