Can anyone identify this weird cloud surrounding the plane? I am baffled to have encountered them...

i've seen the cloud before, I dunno what it is. I thought it was a fuel dump at first, but I couldn't find a command for that.

about that catalina screenie, I was flying one online, just starting to take off from the water when a strafing fighter came to close and plowed into me . . My cat wound up like that, but halfway in the water . . . it was resting on the bottom near a beach, and just kinda sticking straight up. I don't think i managed a screenie.

did u have vulnerability off? when im just messing around with all of the realism settings turned off, and i fly right into the ground and bounce back up i sometimes get it.

I know that cloud, happens when u touch the ground and skim it at low speed with ur wingtips, but its all over the plane sometimes. The reason the plane gets engulfed like this sometimes is due to a connection problem and for some reason we see some planes like this. Just a net code bug I am thinking, shoot him down and when he respawns he will be normal again.

Oh did I say skim the ground.... I mean smoke the dirt /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Couldn't it be just high humidity? Would be cool if it was modelled. I haven't seen it on my rig anyway.

Ice build-up in the wings, tailplane and windscreen when flying through clouds, would be cool and even the carburettorice thing would make it even more realistic.... If they had carburettors ofcourse/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It happens when there is a large amount of lag in an online game. AFAIK it's not a simulation of atmospheric phenomena.

Some plane-types demonstrate it more than others (Hurries especially).

What Hobnail said /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I've seen it on Hurris some Yaks and a P-40 or two.

tackion emmission from your warp core, looks like your injectors may be failed and you require a level one diagnostic.
